got an email from SMU that they sent the financial aid packages out but we havent’ received anything yet. Has anyone else?
I got the email have not got it in the mail. However, you can view it online.
What does it say? Is it merit or is it just the standard fafsa loans available?
It’s personalized for each student. So yours will be very different than mine.
where? i haven’t been able to find it
Have you set up your SMU email account yet (not the admissions portal)? That’s the first step.
yes and there was no email about this
Yeah, it’s not in an email, you just need that account.
To view go here: https://www.smu.edu/oit/services/mysmu

Click financials
then click view finanical aid
Are you going to Florida? Btw, congratulations!
99% chance I would say. Thanks!
Was your in the My.SMU tabs or in your actual SMU inbox. Want to make sure we’re not overlooking it?
My.Smu tabs
We checked the SMU email system and looked under the financials tab, and it had a $5K amount for each semester.
Our original merit was $10K per year, so is this the same or in addition to?
Confused if our total amount is $10K or $20K?
It sounds like the $10k per year was broken down into $5k per semester in the financial aid description.
it’s in addition to merit. This amount is Initial Aid per CSS profile info, doesn’t include FAFSA i
Anyone got the Financial Aid letter via mail (USPS) ?
I was offered Provost and that amount is showing under financials (broken down into semester total) but my Dedmans is not showing. I think it is because I have not replied to the acceptance yet.
Has everyone received the acceptance packet in the mail? DD was accepted in December and still hasn’t received anything. We are local in Dallas…just curious.
I got mine. Yours may have got lossed in the mail or something. However, there was no critical information in it and no gifts besides stickers.
Yes. About second week in January. Sounds like it was lost in the mail. Call admissions and have them resend.
