lisae-how many people are involved in the layouting for your paper? We have 3 people editing/layouting the work of 60 staff members 3 hrs afterschool for roughly 8 days.

images of the pages, we’re hoping. newspaper people rock!

Weekly? Haha. We’re monthly
Yeah, we’re online too. I think. Hehe, I haven’t checked in a while.

4 of us layout/edit - school, opinion, lifestyles, sports
about 30 people on staff total.

we usually layout thursdays for 3 hours and mondays for 5

this paper is 6-8 pages tabloid format (11x17)

images are more appealing, and i’d think significantly easier to boot.

monthy, phil? are you magazine format like phantom?

60 is horrid horrid horrid horrible elbirroh

Dizzymom needs an intervention.

So pathetic – I actually read the cheerleader thread because I’m so obsessed…is there any good gossip out there?

lol
I use pagemaker for yearbook! (I think it was gracilisae that mentioned it?)
Tres fun, and I’m almost done with my section yayy

KEBREE TAKE DOWN UR AWAY MSG — msg from ilcapo

lol, so where is everybody? Don’t make me dominate the whole board again.
evil laugh

by the way, did anybody see the trailer for the willy wonka movie? Johnny Depp looks SO weird.

Of ALL the times for my computer to seize up!!! Something seriously wrong here, folks – think I ‘caught’ something while using Netscape at our hotel over the weekend – I’m having to “refresh” the pages two and three times to view anything.

I think Dizzy-son won’t hear till tomorrow, but he did finally allow as that he is ‘slightly nervous’.

I reminded him that if the news is good, he will have all kinds of people around him, but if it’s bad, Dizzymom and Dizzydad will be standing at the ready to do whatever he needs to help with the next step.

Which reminds me, for those accepted – and even those not – have you all remembered to thank your parents for their support? (Especially if they’re paying your way to Princeton!!!)

Thanks, Dizzymom =)
I’m glad you think it will be tomorrow—I was expecting it today. My mail came 3 hours earlier than usual, but no letter from Princeton…I’m now up in my room with a mug of hot chocolate trying to study physics.

god. layout last week every day until 6:30, Friday until 10:30.

Last issue was until 1:30 am. Wonder if it’s worth being layout editor while squabbling with the editor-in-chief and the layout editors. Then I look at the new writers with their awful articles and scared faced, whittle my tongue, and feel really, really good.

My name’s become a verb at layout. As in “totally reonstructing an utterly ****y, sub-par derelict of an article into something remotely respectable.” Blame my lazy editor-in-chief. oi.

anyone else with horror stories at layout?

Dizzymom, I think everyone needs you now…

To all of those deferred/rejected, I bring condolences from the Harvard board. You guys are awesome and have been so supportive of everyone, include us temporary Harvard orphans. As I have said many times, if you don’t get in by April, it is Princeton’s loss, and I know you’ll go on to become some of the nation’s–no, the world’s–greatest people. Best of luck for the future! :)

To those accepted…I bring congratulations. Have a great four years at Princeton!!!

I hope to meet all of you guys in person soon…thanks for being so awesome!!! ![]()
I <3 all of you!!! :)

I was telling just my mom about an article in the Daily Princetonian. She began laughing, and when I asked why, she said I’d called it the “Daily Prophet.” Haha…you can tell where my brain is…

Oh, breee… hug

Harry Potter = amazing. What house would you want to be sorted in?

Hmmmmm. Perhaps Gryffindor, lol. Though I don’t suppose Ravenclaw would be too bad.

Hermione wannabe.

Correction: Hermione incarnate

;)

Checking in here…

Believe it or not, we still haven’t heard. Obviously, that does not bode well.
