My street is First. I am going to rock at life, obviously. First person to be notified of admission to Stanford (I was my woman’s first call!), maybe First Family is in the future? Hmm I don’t have many political aspirations.

wow applicannot, that sounds a bit elitist don’t you think? lol jk. you’re fine I don’t know if I already said this but congrats! Nice ending to your essay IP. I just saw this week’s episode of Community online and it made me chuckle. going to go off comp for a little while. Adios!

I dunno Diivio, it could just as easily be first of Class of 2014 to flunk out. You have to look at the bright side.

@ starmie
sorry for the really delayed answer. I am in the same situation as you, but her phone number was on the email she sent along with the forms and I had a question, but I emailed her as well.

@applicannot How would you flunking out be a bright side? That would be really sad. I hope you succeed and go far in life! Anyway, Someone should come up with a cool question that we can all relate to… so what’s a good question?

well anyway…I started reading 1984 today and I’ll prolly finish it up tomorrow. It’s pretty interesting so far. We read Plato’s Cave allegory today in AP English and a long time ago I read Fahreinheit 451 so I was just thinking how ignorance and fear are probably humanities worst weaknesses since it makes us unable to react rationally to anomalies and it also makes us able to justify doing horrible things like murder. That’s a frightening thought, but hopefully in our future, people are actually becoming more perceptive of the truth than becoming more ignorant as these stories might suggest.

Mfederman: Okay, thanks. I thought maybe she was only calling people who they were considering admitting. :P

I just scheduled my MIT interview for Monday at Barnes and Noble. Lol must try to get my thoughts off of Stanny so it won’t hurt as bad if (God forbid) I get a rejection.

Lol I apologize for posting random things that aren’t fun to reply to, I never got a call from my addcomm, is that a bad thing (I’m from Idaho btw)?

Diivio, the allegory of the cave was amazing. I remember my freshman history teacher telling us to close our eyes and imagine it…

and Good luck with your MIT interview!

a lady emailed me about a columbia interview and then i emailed her back and she hasn’t contacted me since.

GUESSS WHATTTT. i got google wave. it’s awesome.

Google wave is cool. We (my friends) are using it to collaborate on the web application we are programming for BPA.

PS: Thanks Diglett, I’m a little nervous.

wait you have to gmail too then snowy?

I primarily use my hotmail, but I am starting to use my gmail more often.

ok. i have a questionnn. i need an opinion. so for my colleges im submitting an atheletic supplement for tennis…and i was thinking about submitting a dance on( the problem is im not majorly recognized and haven’t really performed but i’ve been taking dance lessons intensely) and an arts supplement( an abstract of my project in addition to a rec from my mentor) i know i’m probably submitting the first and the last for sure…but what about dance? it’s pretty unique but i don’t know…i don’t want to seem like im going overboard.

i have like almost every type of email possible and a million fake accounts.

and. multiple opinions will be appreciated about the the supplements thing.

fake accounts? for like spam sites? anyone I found this funny calc story someone made online

they let you submit more than one addition arts or research supplement?

well your dance thing would be unique, but your research should definitely go as a supplement since your major is related to research I assume. The Tennis supplement to me seems generic unless you are REALLY good (not saying you aren’t I don’t know your skills). But yeah I think the dance thing would be cool to add as long as there isn’t a limit to how much you can send. I know that will help you come off as a smart unique girl with varied interests who has a life and doesn’t just sit around studying all the time.
