Can i retake the SATs in October and still apply scea?

im soooo excited for this upcoming year. i think all of us are going to be going crazy with apps, but im sure we’ll be on CC complaining together! =] lol. GO STANFORD!

Er no, the stereotypical CCer would be people such as mifune, anonymous93, an0maly etc. in the Class of '14.

I am worry about something. The major that I want to study is Mechanical Engineering. But I am worry due to the fact that I didn’t have enough activities in this field as extracurriculars. I have done enough in Astronomy and Astrophysics realm (National and International Olympiad, awards, projects etc). The only things that i have done and which are related with the field that I want to study are the articles that I writing and specifically in Aerospace Engineering(which is one of the reasons that I am going to apply in US universities) to national magazine…

Would be negative for me??Some people told me that I should apply in Physics Department and I dont want it.My dream job is, to be a rocket scientist…

And I dont want my question seems a picture of inconfidence or a try to show my extracurriculars. Not at all…I am just worried…

Hahaha let’s not let this thread die out yet guys!
i’ll most likely do scea. if i get in i think i’ll die of happiness.
anyone here taking the sat on saturday?

I’m taking two SAT IIs this Saturday, already done with the SAT I.

Like Jersey, I am done with the SAT Reasoning Test and will be taking Subject Tests this Saturday. I will probably retake them this June.

I’ve got two SAT IIs done, taking two this weekend and another one or two in June. If I’m in the mood, I may even take an additional two in October. Will be retaking any ones that aren’t 800s.

Now that’s the attitude. Your stats should be similar to christiansoldier’s then.

I will take SAT exams in Octomber and November but not earlier…I have TOEFL exams in few weeks…

Good luck to all of you!:)

Hopefully retakes won’t be necessary. I’m 2 for 5-8 so far and Math II/USH should be relatively straightforward this weekend.

Oh, congratulations. With respect to all but Georgetown’s requirements, your test scores are perfect at the moment.

Who is christiansoldier?

@ Jersey: Which subject tests are you taking? Good luck on them all :P

Not to mention, I’m also pretty jealous of everyone who’s done with their SAT II’s. I probably won’t do anything about them until my senior year…

A CC member who will be attending Princeton next year. He had rather astounding numerical stats: 2400 SAT, 6*800 Subject Tests, 13 5’s on AP, 4.0 UW GPA.

Isn’t there a point where it all just becomes overkill?

perfectionist much, jersey? hhaha im just kidding. i’m doing the sat I this weekend and then 3 sat IIs in june (us history, chem, and math II…I took physics last year just to get a feel for it and because i’d already done the AP). ill probably end up taking the chinese subject test too, but in october…i definitely need the summer to review

Stanford is definitely my dream school at the moment, even if I am just going to major in music, hahahaha. The weather and atmosphere seem absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, my test scores aren’t exactly helping. (32 on ACT, probably 2100 - 2200 range for SAT that I just took today, but at least I have a 4.0 and tons of stuff in one focused EC among other things)

If I don’t get into Amherst ED then I’ll apply to Stanford RD :]
