Summer Opportunities

So I am stuck in a dilemma…

I am in Grade 11 right now, and I have applied to SUMaC and have been offered a youth job position at a local bank (I would work as a teller and work in community events). I am really interested in both, so it basically boils down to which one helps more for university admissions. Right now, I am strong in math (I was a USAJMO qualifier, etc.) while my extracurriculars and community service/work experience is a bit weak. So which do you think would help more for applying to high-level universities?

Thanks a lot! :)

Personally, I’d go with the local job because SUMaC costs like $6000. But I’m not entirely sure which one would look better on a college app.

A lot of summer programs don’t actually look that impressive; they’ll take anybody who’ll pay them. Having a job shows commitment to something and willingness to work, which says way more about your character than taking a few classes does.
