I miss our Amazing Race and AI threads when they are not on!
So…who watches Big Brother?
My D2 got me to be a newbie BB fan 2 summers ago. So I don’t have the long standing history of watching that others do. It’s a commitment in the summer - 3 nights to catch up on during the week - when in the summer, I watch very little tv overall! But D2 still drags me in…
Anyone up for a running discussion?? Or am I alone on this one??
I’ve been a BB fan since season 14 and I agree on the comment before me when they say it’s addicting. I don’t like the idea of bringing back old house guest. They had their chance to win. I also love that they air 3 nights a week
@Ilovepizza19 I agree I don’t like the idea of bringing houseguests back. I don’t care for the girls they brought back, but I do like the guys. Right off the bat, the math-tutor’s voice drives me crazy and the bearded guy is too intense.
@abasket Not sure where you live, but if you’re close enough to the Canadian border to get our stations, the new season of TAR Canada starts next Tuesday!
Thanks @alwaysamom ! I don’t think we get any of the mainstream Canadian stations here in Ohio - however we do often see commercials for TAR Canada when we are at our cottage in Canada - however we are rarely there during the week (isn’t it on a Monday or Tuesday or something???) - and not consistently.
My college age daughter watches it every summer. Last night I wanted to watch Masterchef but she insisted on watching Big Brother. I agree the math teachers voice was really annoying. Every season they change it up to bring in new twists and turns. Not into it yet since there has only been one episode.
@abasket Ah, yes, now I remember that you have a cottage here! TAR will be on Tuesdays so that’s too bad that you will miss it. The last season of TAR Canada was one of the best TAR seasons I’ve seen, and I’ve seen every season of TAR.
We watched it as a family since season one. The kids are gone and hubby and I still enjoyed it last night. I miss watching it with my kids, but it’s all good. I like the house guests that they brought back. Yes, the guy with the beard looks too intense. I related to and felt bad for the 50 year old. All the young house guests thought 50 was so old. He may be the first one to go home.
@ams5796 Since season one??? My D told me yesterday that the show is running from 1995 or so. Wow!! My Ds introduced me to the show last summer. They were watching old seasons with YouTube, too. This is the first season I watch from the episode 1.
I know, there is always one middle-aged house guest aroudn 50 and I feel bad for them. Not because of their age but because they cannot related to /belong to other house guets.
I thought the yellow team (forgot the team name) wouldn’t be able to finish the castle because they were bickering too much! I was rooting for the other team…
I watched tonight after seeing this thread. We used to watch years ago, but eventually got tired of it and haven’t seen the last several seasons. I miss Evil Dr. Will and Mike Boogie. In the early years I think there were more older house guests than they have now. I think I’ll give it a try and see if I can keep up.
