Summer TV Discussion - Big Brother

Tree of temptation.

To me, Matt has been the most disappointing house guest this season. He seemed promising the first episode, but when he got with Raven that’s when he became Matt(ress).

I think I’m done watching BB19 until something big happens cough Paul ends up on the block cough. I can’t stand it, and I feel like I’m just wasting my time.

@kassh4 It seems everyone is determined to save Paul.

@raclut Yea, but I’m hoping that people start comparing notes and realize that Paul is playing them all and something interesting happens

Can I dump on Raven and Matt just a little?

He’s been on the block, what, 3 times? Why is he so determined to take a bullet for her-- why CAN"T she be the one on the block once in a while?

Again, he knows they’re not splitting the money, right?? That at some point, one of them will be eliminated, right?

As far as Mark using his “Save a friend” – I’m not sure there was much else he could have done with it. He has no friends in the house, I think it makes sense to use it on Paul. Paul is running the house-- if you’re going to suck up, it makes sense in my book that you save Paul. -

I still enjoy Paul! This is a social game and apparently he is good at it if he indeed is running the house - blame the others for not seeing beyond his game and falling prey to it.

Again, I never see this game as being a goody two shoes game of honesty. As long as I’ve watched it, there is plenty of blood on the majority of peoples hands.

Matt’s call if he wants to put himself on the block instead of Raven - and apparently she doesn’t fight it. He may be doing it to protect her or he may be doing it make himself look like a team player (as he said, he’d rather volunteer to go up on the block now with 9 then later with less players left). Either way she seems to just be “whatever”!

Well, we’re down to five and wrapping up…I can’t believe Kevin has survived. Tough emotions for some when it gets down to these few.

BUT, what I’m most excited about…that announcement Julie made at the end last night!!! Spoiler a few lines below…

THIS WINTER…BIG BROTHER CELEBRITY EDITION! Have they ever done this? I can’t WAIT to see who’s in! Clearly it won’t be giant names…but SO interesting!!!

In the US? No. However it has been a staple in the UK for 20 seasons.

That would be celebrities who are not famous enough to be on Dancing With the Stars. :))

Why, why, why didn’t they back door Paul last night? Ugh
I’m excited that there will be a winter BB. I don’t care what D list celebs they pick I just want to see game players this time around

^^Yes, I don’t expect top notch celebs to be breaking down the BB door to be on…but I just think it will be very interesting to see the dynamics of a “known” crowd. Will the actual BB house be similar? Will they receive better perks because they are celebs? So interesting!!!

I don’t think the celebrities will have to eat slop. (I don’t know if they had that this season) I can imagine some reality show participants and lots of drama with egos bumping into each other.

I too am upset that the houseguests are so blind to Paul’s efforts. As I was watching last night it seems he is really smug and overconfident. I don’t think the jury will vote for him at the end. Christmas seems to playing well but to Paul they are all puppets in his hands. I wish he was up for that 2nd eviction.

Bumping up this thread. Who is watching the finale on Wednesday?
I’ve read online about the competitions.

I will be for sure! I don’t want any spoilers though.

So what do you think? Were you surprised by the results?

I was surprised for sure. I thought Josh made a mistake taking Paul but I guess not. I really hated all the bullying that went on this season. I don’t think is if fun when no one is willing to make a move except for one person who the whole house goes against. Give me Amazing Race any day over BB.

It was a disappointing season. I couldn’t believe Josh picked Paul for the final two. Did you see what Cody won?

yes, I was shocked Cody won, I thought Jason or Kevin would have won. I, too was disappointing with this season

Will you watch celebrity big brother? They should allow previous participants on the show. You could tell how unhappy he was that he didn’t win.

Cody winning fan fav was the icing on the cake for a kind of weird season.

I was “ok” with any of the final 3 winning though probably Christmas did the “least” to deserve winning. And while I know many of you didn’t like Paul (I liked Paul, but I also “liked” Josh) it seemed very clear tonight with the season spelled out that Paul did the most work, strategy, game playing, challenge winning, veto arranging, etc. to make it to final two. Not sure what more he could have done. It’s not like Josh won with a clean slate - he was funny but VERY annoying/nasty to many of them and emotionally was often a ticking time bomb.

Good for him, (Josh) but I still think that Paul earned the title - even if its not a very glorious “clean” title of Big Brother.
