My son still hasn’t heard anything from Binghamton. Anyone else still waiting to hear from them???
They were supposed to have all decisions out by 4/1. I would reach out to your local admissions rep. Did he look at the portal? Maybe he missed the email somehow.

Today’s Ivy day, with any luck there will be movement on the waitlist in the days that follow. Good luck everyone! My only concern here is that my son is moving on from bing and has fallen in love with another school, if he gets in I hope it’s not too late and that he at least considers Bing!!
did anyone see the residential life webinar today?
My daughter has just accepted an offer to another school and was trying to decline her offer to Binghamton but we cannot find where we can decline admission. Does anyone know where she can decline? Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thank you!
I am having the same issue. Worst case we can just wait til May 1st and they’ll assume that we declined.
We just sent a quick email, with reference number, to the admissions office.
Great, thank you! We will do the same.
Thank you again!
Has anyone gotten waitlisted from Bing heard back? Asking for a friend
nope
Nope. Waiting on SOM, and we know another kid in town his waiting on Harpur. Just waiting. The longer we wait the more we move forward with the other school…
If anyone hears back PLS LMK!!!
AHH so anxious rn
Yea, I committed I heard back from them after being waitlisted the 2nd of April and heard back the 22nd. A counselor called offering a limited position and then got the status update a day later. It’s June 1, I have yet to receive an official letter in the mail.
Did you ever get an answer? Any news on anyone being accepted off a waiting list?At this point I’m not even sure we would be interested, my son has written to the admissions counselor twice since April, very politely asking if there was any information about the waiting list. We didn’t even get an “I’m so sorry we don’t know yet”, nothing, radio silence.I’m not one to burn bridges but…. I really wish I could give her a piece of our minds LOL
They actually called me with the waitlist offer, he said at the time that four spots had been opened and I was one of 15 on his list to call first. So I had to make a 48 decision to commit to bing. I’m sorry to hear about your son’s interactions with bing, it’s truly unfair. I emailed about the letter and they said overall there’s been delays with mail and that they’re trying to get it out as soon as possible.
We would’ve been happy to even receive a, “we’re sorry but we cannot admit you from the waitlist”. Her silence is so unprofessional. He is very excited about his choice of schools, it would take something spectacular to happen for him to switch at this point. 48 hours definitely would not do it, he would probably want to visit since we weren’t able to when he was applying. It has been so many months and he’s mentally written it off his list,I don’t know if that’s the norm. I’m just disappointed in her lack of professionalism. Anyhow, good luck to you, whatever you choose!
Heard back from the waitlist last night, not offered a spot.
Stats: 10th grade gpa:91
11th:98.5
12th:98.3
These are weighted but schools scale adds at most three points
I was deferred EA and sent a continued letter of interest. I was waitlisted and sent another letter and got in contact with my admissions counselor. Call went very well until she ghosted me after I sent her an update approximately 3 weeks later. I also got in direct contact with alumni and mentioned them in my letters.
Had great letters of recommendation, support letters and applied test optional.
Applied for SOM Finance
Bummed😣
AOs get dozens of emails a day, at Bing and other schools. It is not routine practice for them to respond to a waitlisted student. Why do that? It offers false hope. My D got off two waitlists and was denied from a third. In all cases, she never heard a single thing until she was accepted or received final notice that there would be no offer. They know your kid wants to attend, but right now, they have no spot to offer so they aren’t going to waste time thanking people for their emails.
