Oh, man, there are some real surprises on that map. Jalapeno poppers? Baked ziti?
We’re doing hot chicken wings, Ruffles with onion dip, and a couple of Redbox movies. For the second time in my life I have no interest in watching the actual game.
I think I may do chicken wings too. Can’t lose with chicken wings! Don’t really care about the game much but I’ll take advantage of a night to make snack food.
DH pointed out that the map does not consider what people go out and buy, nor the fact that people most likely already have recipes for their favorite SuperBowl foods. I don’t really care about the game but we’re going to a party. Somewhere recently I saw a post for Meatball Stuffed Cheesy Garlic Rolls, so that’s what I’m making.
I’m watching for the ads (I teach a class where we analyze them) and using it as an excuse to have an unhealthy dinner of appetizers and chicken wings. And I’m serving it in front of the TV to make DH, who generally boycotts everything except halftime, come watch at least some of the game with me.
I’m bringing garlic parmesan wings to the party (KETO friendly). Still looking at other recipes that are keto-friendly but I’m sure there’ll be plenty of cheese and salami which I can eat.
I’m taking my Buffalo chicken dip and my famous chocolate chip cookies to the Superbowl party we are attending. Just hope the rain holds off in Southern California on Sunday as our hosts have a lot of outside areas set up for eating and viewing.
Hamburger - 2 lbs browned and drained.
2 can Hormel Chili with Beans
1 jar chopped green chili’s
Large can sliced black olives
Optional: onion or green onions, chopped tomatoes.
Lots of shredded cheese (I buy 2 bags)
2 bags nacho chips.
Lay one layer of nacho chips on pizza pan or baking pan.
Top with meat mixture, then layer lots of cheese
Then layer it again like this.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until cheese melts like you like.
Serve with shredded lettuce, guacamole, salsa, whatever you want on the top.
You’ll have to cut it with a spatula and put on plate. It’s definitely a meal, not just an appetizer.
I just went to Trader Joe’s and they had more avocados stacked up than I’ve ever seen anywhere. That tells you what we eat in our neighborhood… guacamole:)
We’re going to a Pats-only party. We’re bringing Cowboy Caviar, fresh homemade bread and roasted garlic, chips with French onion dip, guacamole, gingerbread and whipped cream.
that map is pretty disgusting!! @-)
I would serve a grilled veggie platter with aoli, fab drinks, great brownies, a fruit bowl and a
platter of different skewers–marinated pork, chicken, beef. Chips and dips.
More drinks and seltzer water. And an Uber home.
