That neither son has heard gives me a glimmer if hope…that maybe the delay is deciding on scholarship level.

So when are we even going to hear at this point? The only Friday between now and April 6th is Good Friday, surely they wouldn’t release anything then? But they only release on Fridays? What should I even expect now?
Sent an email to admissions asking when decisions would come out but I’m not really expecting any answers from them.
Maybe…the girl I know who got in needed money to attend, but got none. Syracuse went in and changed our FAFSA a couple weeks ago, and I talked with them on the phone about that. So maybe it’s people getting in and getting money who are last as they figure out how to slice it up? Who knows? At this point, we’ve canceled our trip to Syracuse to see campus again and have booked tours with her other acceptances over break.

This is the frustrating thing right? The lack of communication…I did see somewhere in this post that some folks are seeing acceptances trickle in throughout the week and not just Fridays. Good luck!

How did you find out it was Syracuse that made the change? I have the same change on mine but all it says is College. It was on March 15…
Right after it happened, my D got an email from Syracuse that her financial aid info wasn’t complete, so I knew it had to be them. They were her only CSS school so they went in to FAFSA to change something to match the CSS.
I checked - we got the notice Thursday March 11. Yours could have been Syracuse, too. The timing is right.

Miami (OH), IU-Kelley(minor/double SM), UMass, Loyola-Chicago, SLU, Rice, Penn (for kicks)–just waiting on Syracuse, Rice and Penn – in with merit at the others. He didn’t want to go to Florida or south (Rice an exception because family there).

You were able to get a tour? Our son got in last week and we have been told there are no f2f visits allowed. He really wants to see the campus before he makes his choice.
Funny! My son is the opposite! Give him that Miami sunshine. Obviously Syracuse wouldn’t fit this desire.
No, luckily we did a formal admissions event in fall of 2019 before Covid screwed everything up! She just wanted to see if again and explore the area more.
Do you think it would be possible to walk around campus on our own?
Definitely. It’s not gated or anything and opens right to the city on the one side. The Sheraton is right across the street.

I walked around on my own in august bc there were no tours and it was great!!
