Thanks for sharing @excited4next4, Congratulations!! Great ACT score
Thanks everyone!
@JaceyK Donât give up hope. @excited4next4 has an outstanding ACT score with very high sub scores so it is no surprise that he/she would be made an offer. With 2% of admissions coming from 3Q, I would imagine test scores would need to be superior.
Team has notoriously had more than one release date, so lets keep hope that this year is no different.
Has anyone received Gateway yet?
I agree @excited4next4 has a great ACT score - congratulations!!
So will there be no more full review admits? I find it strange that AIS would announce that there are no more full admits. Is this the same message given in previous years?
@alexxaudaro we have not seen Gateway to Success offers of Admission come out yet. Here is a link to the program with terrific information. http://blinnteam.tamu.edu/Programs/Gateway
Would you share your stats please?
@2019grad19 We saw that same thing happen with the engineering applicants that were offered the pathway decisions that had the same message and then a bit later, some full decisions were released.
No one knows if there will be any more full admissions to College Station or not.
Would you mind sharing your stats?
Just curiousâŠif there are already a few auto/academic admits from one particular high school, does that lower the chance for review applicants from that high school? Meaning, do they think theyâve got enough already from that high school and may just pass on any more applicants? Do they cap the amount of kids theyâll take from a certain school?
@Chemengmom No, it matters not about that.
I have been following this forum for months. The nursing post caught my attention today. My daughter applied in August. Seems like a lifetime ago. Review admit. She is hopeful for full admit, but would be excited and grateful for Blinn Team.
She desperately wants to be an Aggie Nurse and part of the Aggie culture. So she applied at Blinn, was accepted and we signed a lease for an apartment on Saturday. Thatâs our backup plan if things donât work out this round. There is not a doubt in my mind that her hard work and determination will land her at TAMU if not now as a transfer. Mom trying to make plan âC-Z!â
Any insight on attending straight Blinn? Attending TAMU football games, nursing advisors, etc.??
Does anyone believe I have a chance at Blinn Team or Gateway?

Feeling disheartenedâŠI really thought scores would get my child in. Highly competitive private school-non ranking-TAMU put in 1st quarter. Lots of AP and honors throughout high school. ACT was 28. She has a friend at school who is in 2nd quarter but retook ACT until she got a 33. She did not have AP or honors classes. After applying her friend was admitted right away-like it only mattered about the ACT score. This is my first child applying to college. She worked hard and put in her time and I feel like it was all wasted if she canât get in where she wanted. Apparently if you go to an ultra competitive school, you should either change to a school where you can get top 10% or pay thousands of dollars to a private test tutor who can give you all the tricks to master the test. I know that there are truly people deserving to be there under the top 10 rule & test admits-itâs just a shame you can work so hard for years and do well and then not get into your state schools. I thought a 28 was a safe ACT score. It seems that the whole process now is more of a game. I will do things differently with my other kids.
I truly am happy for those who have been admitted though. Just commiserating here.

My extracurriculars include Student Body President of my high school, head cheer captain for my freshman (9th grade), JV(10th), and Varsity (12th) teams, held office of student council for 3 years, NHS, 10 APâs, started a charity that raises over $100,000 for local organizations every year, worked for two years in high school, received many academic awards as well as leadership awards from my school, helped start up Younglife at my school, did Habitat for Humanity, worked at Camp Barnabas (camp for mental and physical disabilities), Academy 4 (program that teaches 4th graders skills for their STAAR test), I have been very involved with my church all four years, and wrote a great essay.
Sadly, I feel like A&M doesnât look into extracurriculars as much as they do at your scores and rank, which doesnât quite benefit me haha. Iâve been accepted to Baylor and received a lot of money from them as well as University of Arkansas. I would 100% do Blinn Team if I got the offer, but Iâm losing hope. Any advice out there??
All Yâall waiting on decisions, it would be beneficial to explore the Blinn Team and Gateway options before hand. Also read up on PSA. Read the FAQ pages for sure as they answer a lot of quesitons. Then when decisions come out, you have some inkling what they are about rather than being reactionary for the information.

One of the biggest questions is:
What if the System Institution doesnât have my intended major?
The Answer is
The major choice at the System Institution does not matter. All that matters is that the System Institution will allow you to take the courses you need for your intended PSA major at TAMU.
Participating system institutions that have their own PSA web pages.
Tarleton State

The other participating schools may have one, I just couldnât find it last time I was making notes

Texas A&M International University
Texas A&M University â Commerce
Texas A&M University â Texarkana
Are BIMS majors offered Blinn TEAM? Also, I know BIMS is not apart of the PSA system, so what will they be offered instead of full admission? McAllen?
