Do you have to have told admissions on your application that you would consider BLINN TEAM, or can you get asked that without letting them know in advance?
@NavyWife93 Others on this forum have posted that the question on Apply Texas is a survey and answering âNoâ will not prohibit you from receiving a TEAM offer.
My son is an out-of-state student. He emailed his regional advisor for our part of the country on Jan 30 to express his continued interest in Texas A&M. She replied last night (Feb 12) with a nice note thanking him for his patience with the delayed reply. She also wrote 2 things I found noteworthy:
- âWe are still rolling out admissions decisions and anticipate sending all decisions by end of February.â
and - âAlthough most of our student are admitted via automatic admission, about 40% of students are admitted via review.â
1 is consistent with the tweet from Aggiebound. Good to hear it again.
2 seems high to me given everything I've been reading here & on TAMU websites, but I do prefer her #s. :)
The wait continuesâŠ
Heading to an admitted student event at Purdue this weekend; was hoping to have his A&M decision before our visit so he would have more information with which to consider his feelings about Purdue while on campus. If A&M denial is coming, I hope he falls in love with Purdue. If A&M admission is coming, I hope Purdue is lacking just that little spark he found in Aggieland.

@AggieMomhelp or @Thelma2 - Do we have any idea who the âare you interested in BLINN-TEAMâ messages are going do? Is it just random or people that checked âMAYBEâ or âNOâ on the apply Texas university specific question.
@CMR1997 we visited Sewanee this past weekend and our daughter fell in love with the school. Enrolled as soon as we arrived back home. If she had received admission to TAMU early on she never would have seen this school. For us the wait was a blessing.
I donât think I ever put my sonâs stats so I will put it out there and see what his chances are getting into Blinn-Team if Full Admission is full.

He was off on his reading and writing by 10 points and that is why he is in review.
@IT22379 Iâm just a parent, not an expert, but it sure seems your son has a great chance (but I have no idea how out of state factors in). Mays is full, but hopefully heâll get TEAM for 2nd choice.
When did he apply?
Keep us posted!
@52AG82 it says his paperwork was all in his account on 10/20. And actually I live in texas and he will be considered texas resident in August before school starts.
@IT22379 out of state vs in state may make a huge difference, but itâs probably too late to change/update that. Hopefully you will hear something soon!
@52ag82 Yeah whatâs bad right now is he is still considered out of state until I have been here a year and then I can put him as resident of texas and that wont happen till August.
@it22379 Well they look at OOS where he graduated from not necessarily residency for tuition purposes. And since ACT wasnât sent to TAMU then sadly they wonât see it. His SAT is really strong as is his rank. If he doesnât get TEAM at the minimum, I will be shocked.
@BlueBayouAZ The way I heard it last night was âwe send the offer option to the student basically saying, this is the best we can offer youâ. If the student is interested in being reviewed for it, then they select yes and admissions reviews them as they come in and most likely accepts them based on when they clicked yes.
Also, clicking the apply tex app saying youâre interested in TEAM is irrelevant. Just a survey question. If admissions can offer TEAM, then they will regardless of what you chose on the app.
So since all full admits have been given out, and since i clicked no to blinn, that means Iâm either getting denied or maybe a PSA
@223hopeful nope, thatâs not what that means. There are a few full admissions still to be had and TEAM and Gateway are not full yet. In fact, we havenât seen any gateway yet and only a smattering of TEAM. Thereâs still hope for the hopeful!!!
thank you!
I hate to ask this question since Iâm sure itâs been answered already, but where do you see if you get the offer for team?
@Blaketflip
all admissions decisions are on your AIS
@AggieMomhelp just out of curiosity, why do you think it is that they state on an applicants offer to Blinn that all full admission offers have gone out, if thatâs not actually the case? Of course I am glad to hear that there are still some offers to come, but them adding that line seems strange.
Inside scoop as of last night. Not all offers are out but there areVERY FEW full admits left.
Anyone elseâs AIS not displaying correctly?
The little drop down menu that has my application for the Fall on it is now clipping into the header that contains the âMy Bioâ tab⊠I think itâs because the little red bar that used to mention deferment to January for engineering majors is gone now, but Iâm not so sure and just wondered if anyone else was expericing this ?
Full admits for all majors or just engineering?
