When do gateway classes start?
@lulu9002 our friend that got Gateway offer yesterday was assigned 2nd summer session. He was not given a choice of dates, so it may only be offered 2nd session?
@lulu9002 Gateway is only offered 2nd summer session. The fist summer session usually starts before or right about the time students are graduating from HS.
Still no change today.

FYI on the tabs - my son also applied to TAMUG (Galveston) as Plan B on July 2. As soon as he was accepted he had 6 tabs- mostly relating to the Galveston campus.

In regards to differing information in the admissions office, some of it might dependent upon the inquiring studentās major. Yesterday, my student called and the person she spoke with (on speaker) said that timelines for engineering review admits (full offers, Blinn, PSA, etc.) completely differs from every other major. So when PSAās started going out for engineering, it didnāt mean that the full offers, Blinn, PSA, etc. had gone out for other programs.
She went on to say they had hoped to have all offers made by March 1, but due to the extensive number of review admit applicants, itās simply taking longer than anticipated.
Seems reasonable to me.

@fullofhope23 If they give you a deadline, then yes. Or if it says itāll go away once full, then yes. So if you get this, accept it if you want it. Just know there is a financial obligation that comes with it, unlike TEAM or PSA.
Well, itās March 1st and still nothing. I am truly baffled. My son missed auto admit by .75 of a point. He has a 4.3 GPA. Lots of volunteer hours and extra curricular. His essay was great! 29 on ACT. Applied July 7th.
I cannot believe we havenāt heard anything. Still holding out hope.
Thank you guys! I come back July 7 from vacation so Iām worried if i get offered gateway, i wonāt be able to do it.
But to everyone worried:
Everything happens for a reason. And Iām putting all my trust in God right now. Itās hard but Iām being patient because all good things come to those who wait. So whatever happens i know itās for my benefit, even though it might not seem like it. Also Iām still in review.
(I donāt want to push my religion onto anyone so donāt take it that way:)

Does anyone have a good explanation for why denials are sent out last? We have very good plan B options but itās hard for these kids to get really excited about plan B when A&M keeps them in this endless holding pattern. Given the numbers reported on this site regarding how many review applicants there are for very few spots there must be thousands of apps that will be denied.
I have to think there is a reason for the delayā¦ please let there be a reason?

@pleasehelpme15 no one really knows what offers are left. iāve read here that gateway offers first show up in AIS. your term will change from Fall 2019 to Summer 2019. there may be other indicators. please read the last four or five pagesā¦several gateway offers appeared this week and you might learn more than I have to offer.
@pleasehelpme15 Also in AIS look for a change of major to General Studies in addition to the term shift from Fall 2019to Summer 2019
