TAMU FALL 2020 TRANSFER ADMISSIONS

No, strong is A/B. I do believe there will be leniency. If you’re transferring I would not take any class as pass/fail, especially if in your required major coursework. Maybe an elective would be okay, but not much else. Talk to advisor at TAMU before doing this.

@psyctransfertamu congrats! hopefully i’ll be hearing back soon as well!!

Thank you! I’m sure you will! I applied for the summer so that probably has something to do with it, I"m still waiting on the official acceptance though. Let me know whenever you hear back, good luck!!!

Hey y’all!! Just wanted to come on here and comment about something interesting that happened to me. I’m not sure if it’s due to Covid-19 and everything in the world being weird now, but I applied as a PTA transfer after completing all of my paperwork and was deferred for sprint grades since I didn’t have my 30 hours completed just yet, as per usual. Then, I randomly decide to check my AIS and saw that I had been accepted 3 days ago already for the College of Education and Human Development! I was honestly in shock, but I signed up for my NSC and now am officially an aggie!!! What I feel probably happened is that with the current pandemic, they may be starting PTA acceptances early if it’s assumed you will meet the requirements for transfer at the end of the current semester (I had a 4.0, and only have 1 required class in progress). I wanted to be sure I posted this on here, just in case anyone else is in the same boat! Definitely unexpected for sure!!

Also if it helps, I already had 40 hours completed from DC in high school/ 16 from Blinn in the fall semester!

My daughter was under review and received her acceptance, also!

Does anyone know if the student will get a virtual advising session prior to the NSC? And if so, how and when that will be scheduled?

Just an FYI: My advisee applied as a transfer and was accepted to TAMU-G for BS Maritime Administration in 2 weeks. They have counted 50 hours (not including his current 15 TIP hours). He applied on April 9th and received his acceptance in AIS with 6 tabs in Howdy on April 23. His transfer audit and acceptance occurred at the same time. It was the quickest turn around I have every seen.

Hi. Congratulation to those of you who already got accepted. I just want to ask if anyone hear back from Comp Sci yet? I applied in 1/21 and got my audit on 2/18 and I am still waiting. Does any know how long for Comp Sci department to release their decision? Thank you so much.

Howdy, im looking for someone to take over my lease. The lease start on august 15th and ends july 31st 2021. It is a 2x2 both rooms are available for $530. It comes furnished and all utilities except electricity. The apartment complex is called Holleman Crossings. Please reply to this if interested. Or shoot me an email franklinbonilla72@gmail.com

Howdy @aggiemomhelp !! Could you chance me? I am a freshman hoping to transfer into communications and will have 24 credit hours coming in. I had a 4.0 first semester and will most likely have a 3.8-4.0 finishing this semester. I have completed required course and completed a recommended course this semester but haven’t done language classes yet.

@Hannahrk You should have zero issues getting admitted with those stats. You’ve done everything right. Unless the language classes were mandatory for applying, you will be fine.
Are you applying for Spring?

Could someone chance me?? I am currently a freshman at Blinn hoping to transfer into child professional services in the college of education and human development. I got deferred for spring grades ( I didn’t have 24 hours completed yet when I applied). I should have a 3.3-3.6 after this semester and should end the spring semester with a 3.75 or 4.00 (I’m waiting to hear about one class). I WIll be transferring 30 hours as well and have completed all required coursework now. what might be my chances of getting in? @AggieMomhelp

Hey y’all! So I applied for civil engineering and they deferred me for spring grades, however I’ve decided that I want to pursue industrial engineering instead. Does anyone know of any way to transfer into a dif major?

You have a great shot! Good job. Of course a 3.6 will look better than a 3.3 but the upward trend is amazing!!! You have solid hours behind you to show that you can handle college rigor and we all know that Blinn is no joke. = ) Keep us posted!

Depending on how many credits and such, you may be admitted to only general engineering before applying to a specific field of eng. I’m not for sure on this though. If you have too many credits, then you may be stuck. I know they admit based on the department, but since in the same college, there may be some leeway… have you called an advisor to ask? That can be tricky too… you don’t want a red flag. Maybe do a generalized call to see how easy it is to change from one type of eng. to another once on campus.

@klizdy I haven’t heard back from BIMS yet. Granted, I was taking three of the CBK classes this past spring. Since I sent in my final grades from the spring, nothing has changed on my side. Have you heard anything since?

Is there a difference between being denied and deffered for Spring grades? My decision letter says “Transfer Deny Request Spring Grades”. Anyone else?

Sent my final spring grades a few days ago. I can see them in the received documents section, but still have a red “X” in AIS. Any idea how long it will take for a decision from here?

@dancingaggie I recently got accepted this week! I had one last required course to take this spring, as well.
