Finally complete and in review! Still waiting on transfer audit
Hey guys! I just logged into my AIS and it says that my transfer Audit was available but told me to log into the Howdy Portal to view it. When I logged in to Howdy it said I do not have a transfer Audit report available. Does anyone know why this is?
Howdy y’all! I just received my transfer audit and I am wondering how much longer until acceptance letters come in? I applied 1/1/19 with all my necessary course work completed (Human Resource Development). I have a 3.1 GPA and I am super excited. I just hope it is soon, my second university is Texas State and their application deadline is March 1st also, and I was hoping to hear from A&M before I apply there. Thank y’all so much and Gig’em!!
@cterracina I’m pretty sure a few people had the same issue last week and it was available to them Monday morning. I wouldn’t be too worried! Gl
@ExcGunnar End of February? That’s very soon!
@Novelica Yeah the earliest admitted into Mays typically hear near the very end of Feb based off of the forums from last year and 2017. I’m assuming all the different schools will start sending out letters by then as well.
@ExcGunnar Yay!! I cannot wait!!
Hey y’all! Did most of you send in letters of recommendations? I didn’t but was wondering if it was common or not with transfer admits.
@gigemsis I was told by two different prospective student advisors that letters of recommendation are not considered in the review process. I had two prepared, but I didn’t send them in due to their advice. GPA and required classes completed are king.
I sent my letters of recommendation because they were too good not too. Either way, I don’t care if they look at it or not but with a letter from the department chair of business at my current college, the Sheriff I work for, the Sergent that is my immediate supervisor, and the CEO of a Bank. It was too good not too in my opinion.
@ExcGunnar So TAMU admits the early applicants first?
@Novelica Yes. TAMU does rolling admissions so first come first serve in the application process.

Currently I have 70 hours, and a 3.568. I am commissioning as a 2LT in the Army in May and have that going for me as well. Just playing the waiting game at this point.
Does anybody know if TAMU is good with transfer scholarships? I know other universities are very generous, I love A&M but I really don’t want that many loans.
@tamuaggie21 Not really. Daughter had 3.95 GPA with 58 hours transferring in, only got a very small bridge scholarship.
I got my transfer audit on the 6th of February. My audit gpa is 3.88 GPA with 58 hours. I plan on majoring in electrical engineering. I am hoping for the best.
@tamuaggie21 I am sort of in the same dilemma too. I like Texas A&M but I just do not want to take out too many loans.
@Donutworry It’s unfortunate… I already know FAFSA isn’t going to happen probably. So I’m really hoping to get some money from TAMU. I’m a PTK member too, so hopefully that helps.
My son applied on Jan 10 and received transfer audit report on 2/6.
Transfer hours 25
GPA 3.6
Major: MMET
Question: 15 of the hours have TRNS XXX . Does this mean he can use them for electives or will some just not usefully at all?
Question: for the classes’ he is currently taking, will he get an audit saying what will transfer before he decides to accept?
Question: Should he expect a decision by end of this month?
I took four years to get my Associates degree so I could work and save money. Now I have $20K, qualify for aggie assurance, and my EFC is only 9k. I know I will probably still need loans but I feel a lot better knowing I only need to fund 2 years at A&M and have a nice nest egg. Sometimes it’s worth it to put your dreams off a bit.
