TAMU Transfer Fall 2019

@maroonoctane yes she should be good. It’s not necessarily a formality but since she’ll have a solid gpa and that last required class, she should be admitted. Best of luck!

@BlinnThereBefore love the name lol. And regardless of when you applied, you’ll be fine. Your gpa and fulfilling all required courses should get ya in no problem. Keep us posted tho!!

what is your second major? and what is the meaning of tabs and where can i check?

hey @aggie0304 tabs are shown on your howdy page. before you are admitted, there only shows 3 tabs, once you are admitted, there would be 6 tabs in total.

I applied to TAMU with my primary major choice being international studies and my secondary being history. Due to the international studies program requiring you to have 4 foreign language classes completed by 60 hours, I didn’t qualify for that major (I have 84 credits with just 2 classes finished). This is the major I really wanted and honestly I don’t want to study history. Anyone know if it’s possible to still change my major to international studies once I am an enrolled student at A&M? Why is it that they have such a harsh requirement for transfer students for this major?

Hang in there Mays applicants! The app deadline is tomorrow so hopefully we’ll hear soon, but I’m at a loss with guessing at this point lol.

@ExcGunnar I’m done guessing to my last hope would be this Sunday after that who knows! This is killing me!

@Walker03 Ya, I’ve unwisely put off tending to the missing parts of my UH application because I thought we’d hear back sooner.

This is just speculation, but it’s possible all decisions were pushed back due to the influx of freshman applying. Last year, liberal arts heard back pretty early in February. Again, idk just a guess. @AggieMomhelp any insight?

@ExcGunnar Same hereee procrastinating my UH application, hoping I hear back from Mays first :confused:

@knorrig
GPA - 3.61
I did both essays
Many extra curriculars
Two Recommendation letters
Multiple hours of community service and all required and recommended classes completed

Also, does anyone know when accepted students receive their Banner and letter? It says mine shipped the 26th

@ExcGunnar I wish I did. I don’t know anyone that has successfully transferred into Mays. My daughter was a spring transfer into LA and found out in October (applied in August), so late March early April isn’t such a stretch for everyone hearing (unless deferred… those typically hear first).

i logged in howdy page and then where should i go to check my tabs?

@KingofSodium Where does it say it was shipped?

My son was rejected last night. He meet all the requirements for engineering MMET, 25hrs, 3.6 GPA, many extra curriculars, student athlete at current school. He did not have all the recommend classes. No reason why mentioned, I guess they have too much demand at the school so they can be very picky.

@gigem21tamu On AIS when you click on “Letters” under “My Communications”

What tuition rate code selection should I choose, or recommended? Also, do I have to take the TSI again or can I submit my results from 2017?

I hope us mays applicants will find out before spring break because if not we will have to go without our sanity until March 18 at the earliest.

@Aggie21 how so? is AIS not updated during the spring break?

yeah neither howdy or ASI updates.

@knorrig at least I don’t think so
