My app stills says in review and I haven’t received six tabs yet but Im getting recruitment pamphlets to join the core so that has to be a good sign right?
@Aggie21 If you don’t mind, would you share your stats for Mays (GPA, hours taken, MGMT211, extracurriculars, etc)?
@ExcGunnar
GPA: 4.0
Hours: 42 (all required coursework completed, will have 55 after this semester) taking MGM 211 this semester
EC: I have a bunch and very active at Blinn
Recommendation letters: I have 3 (but I heard that they don’t play a role in your acceptance)
Essay: Only wrote essay A but it was an amazing essay
Volunteer hours: a whole lot
@ExcGunnar what do you think are my chances of getting in?
Have not heard back from college of education, applied on jan 2nd!
@jameswhite17 Yeah, same but I applied January 1st. It is so frustrating and keeping me up at night ?
I’m new here and it looks I’ve come to the right place! My son applied to transfer for Fall 2019 and texted me that it’s deferred. His GPA meets the requirements, but he’s currently taking one of the classes he needs. So this is a good sign, right? We don’t want to get hopes up, but it’s also not a No. Does this pretty much mean he’s in, as long as he completes this class and his GPA doesn’t drop? Or does it mean that they won’t even consider him until the Spring semester is done? Thanks for any input!
Hi everybody! So I completed all three essays, without taking notice that essay B was only for individuals pursuing a second bachelors degree. I am only a sophomore in college seeking my first bachelors. Do you think this will negatively affect me?
@matthewg2477 where are u seeing the pamphlets?
Just checking in on the College of Education. I’ve talked to many people and every person but one has gotten deferred (the other got accepted). The decisions are coming out randomly too… some people who applied the first days of jan still haven’t heard back while those who applied in feb have. I’m super nervous!!! Those who have gotten deferred; are you looking into housing? When will decisions for deferrals come out?
@Aggiegomhelp what’s your experience/knowledge about deferrals? Is it likely that admission will be offered? Currently taking 4 required courses. Thanks for any info you can share.
It sounds like you have an excellent chance! In all the forums I’ve read, I haven’t seen a single 4.0 student with the required stuff done not get in, but I honestly have no clue. @walker03 and I are sitting on a 4.0 as well so hopefully it pulls us all through!
Howdy, I was wondering what are my chances of getting in the Liberal Arts department for Fall 2019. My first choice major is Sociology. My second choice is Antropology.
My GPA is a 2.9 with 52 grade coursework, without dual credit grades taken into account, but with dual credit I have a 3.02. I would be 2 courses off of being classified as a Junior for the Sociology Major and 3 courses for the Antropology.
I know my GPA isn’t the greatest, but I have many community services hours and have some good achievements in my application. I also wrote both essay and have a letter of remendation ready to submit but don’t know where to upload.
Thanks for the help!
I just found out I got accepted the other night and I’m so excited!!! Here are my stats hopefully it’s helpful to someone
GPA: 3.75
Hours: 24
Essay/s: Essay A (I only wrote one because I was told by several advisers on campus that they get pretty much all the info they need in that essay)
Major: BS in Anthropology (my 2nd choice)
I was expecting to be deferred until I finished a course required for my 1st choice major (Psychology). I’m assuming I was admitted into my 2nd choice major because I had finished the required courses for it. I’m still finishing my math course for Psychology (which was my 1st choice major). I need to call to clarify what they will do once I send in my spring grades, but either way I’m so happy to finally be an Aggie!
I applied for the LA college for my first major Anthropology BA with 24 credits, but I have 14 credits from IB exams, and after this semester I will have 33 credits, 47 in total including IB. My GPA is a 3.6. Are my chances good?
@bob292882 what gpa does your audit say? And do you have all required courses?
@gigemis they sent me one in the mail I thought it was my decision letter but it was just a recruitment Phamlet and letter from the core ?
But also I haven’t been deferred yet but just wondering with all the other people asking if we do get deferred where does that put our chances of getting in. Like do we need to make a 4.0 this semester to get in or what?
@sh2022 howdy! when did u apply/get ur audit/hear back! We have almost the same stats and I’m hoping to hear back soon. I applied 2/9, got audit 2/21 and have been waiting since. Congrats on your admission!
Even though I’ve been deferred for spring grades should or can I apply for housing at all? Kinda want to jumpstart if possible
