TAMU Transfer Fall 2019

@trinley yes, I participated a transfer seminar earlier this year got some good information. I scheduled a meeting already with the advisor in the major I’m seeking so hopefully I’ll find a little bit more help that I need I guess there. Thanks

IS there anyone who got admitted for engineering majors?

Guys, is it bad that I applied on 02/05 for Mechanical Engineering? Do I lose to people who applied, like 1/1?

If I was short of the 24 transfer hours required as of March 1, but complete a transfer course this month and provide a revised transcript, will my application be reviewed right away or will it not be reviewed until June 1.

Howdy all!!

I am a prospective fall 2019 transfer into the College of Ed, TLAC department as a EC-6th generalist major. I have already applied, received my transfer audit with 66 credit hours and a 2.96 cumulative GPA. I have also received my transfer deferment letter stating that admissions need req. classes from this semester to be completed, before the admissions review to begin. I am aimed to getting all A’s this semester and my GPA is expected to rise. What are my chances is getting into TAMU as a Fall 2019 transfer??

So I got my tabs today, I’m not trying to jump the gun but from what I have read it is a good sign? How long does it usually take after you get 6 tabs to get an acceptance

howdy @AggieHopeful21 ! I think you have a good chance, so as long as you do raise your GPA. Considering you have 66 credit hours, a&m looks for the applicants with the most credits that are needed for your major, and since you have 66, i would hope that this is the case. I’m also applying for College of Ed TLAC department, but 4-8 ELA/SS major this fall. I’m hoping to hear back soon as not many Edu majors have been given a decision soon. Do you know if others have been notified already? Or by when should we expect?
Thanks and Gig Em

@jrriggs19 I received my tabs last Monday and I got my official acceptance in AIS on Tuesday.

6 tabs for ECON this am. 3.54 1 LOR around 40 hours

I got my tabs from HRD in the school of education this morning!! Sooo sooo happy!! Cannot wait to read the actual letter I will receive! Great job to everyone else!

I got my 6 tabs for Sociology today!!

I as well got my 6 tabs this morning from ECON. Congrats to everyone else who woke up to good news this morning, and hang in there for all of those who are still waiting! I originally applied to TAMU for the Fall of 2018 but was denied and have been at Texas State for the last year. If you really want to be an Aggie, I am proof that there are MANY different ways/paths to graduating from A&M. Just keep that in mind for all of you still anxious today.

@jgtamu22 Thank you for the response! I think it majorly depends on when you applied. I applied 2/1 and got my deferment letter 3/3, so it took about a month for me. Based on my knowledge with my family and friends who attend(ed) TAMU at the COE, you should receive notification within the next couple of weeks!! Good luck and Gig Em!!

@bob292882 congrats, I knew you would get in!!

I got my tabs today for Chemistry major. I was actually denied for my 1st choice (Chem eng) last Tuesday. I hope I can switch back to CHEN after 1 or 2 semesters. I finished all the recommended classes with an associate’s degree and 3.96 GPA. However, a lot of my classes are TRANS XXX because I am from an out of state CC. I don’t know whether this fact hurts my chance plus I am an international student. Anyway finally I can be an Aggie.
Congrats to who got admitted and hope others will hear back soon.

@Honeybadger11 Congrats!! Sorry to hear about the first choice, but I’m glad you got into Chemistry! You will definitely find your way back to CHEN very soon

@Novelica Thank you. And good luck with your decision ^^

Has anyone gotten their acceptance letter after their tabs? I got my tabs yesterday and still haven’t gotten my acceptance letter

Still have not heard anything from College of Architecture, first major intended is still listed as my first major, which I guess can still be a good sign! have also read some have heard from them, little being accepted and a lot being deferred for spring grades. I should not get deferred as I have all courses completed on the transfer course sheet.

Does anyone know if I get rejected will TAMU still offer BLINN?
