Just out of curiousity, how many of you applied to TASP after receiving the info based on your PSAT scores, and how many were nominated by teachers / printed the app off the web?

I got mine straight from the internets. I did well on the PSAT, but not quite well enough, I suppose:)

PSAT score… which was a freaking miracle to say the least

got the letter from my counselor (she’s amazing)

wang said on an earlier post he’s coming from taiwan… two people from taiwan O_o where’s the mainland representation? =P okay, maybe i’m a little biased…

there’s no one from TX on the list so far ='(

I received the info based on my PSAT scores; nobody from my school has even heard of TASP. My counselor has like… 400 kids to manage. So I got my rec letter from my English teacher.

I also received the information based on my PSAT scores.

My teacher found the application and told me about it. She also wrote my rec and proofread my essays.

However, a friend with a lower (but still good) PSAT score than mine got one in the mail, so I think that criteria is just a random way to get a good cross-section

It also seems like half of the TASPers this year are Tiawanese/Chinese…well that goes with pretty much every other academic EC so no correlation there.:)

a kid from my school who did it last year told me about it, but i got the application stuff for my psat score; btw, i’m inner mongolian which is kinda mainland =)

I got mine through PSAT scores. In fact, a lot of people from my school got TASP applications stuff in the mail, but I was the only one with nothing to do over winter break…(:

I don’t think anyone from my school has ever gone to TASP before. Or at least, my counselor doesn’t know what it is.
