Teach For America 2012 Corps

I’m actually going insane.

Does anyone know what the subject line of the email says if you are accepted? I have friends who were rejected and their email’s subject line was “Your Teach for America Application”… is it the same or different if you are accepted? When emails pop up on my phone, only the subject line shows, so I want to know if that alone is enough cause for me to freak out. I know, I’m weird.

Gah… I know last round they started hearing back around 6pm or so. Hopefully it’s sooner for us! I might die if I have to wait longer.

I think I heard that if you were accepted, the subject line starts with “Congratulations!..” And if you were rejected, “Thank you for your application…” Or something like that… Just look for the word “congrats!” haha

Yeah, the subject line for the phone interview and final interview notifications started with “Congratulations” so that makes sense. My boyfriend wants to take me out to a bar when he gets off work so that when I find out, we can either start drinking in celebration or in mourning… hence the phone being my only way to stalk. Hahaha

It’s almost time guys! However, I realistically don’t think I’m in, because my transitional funding still says Under Review and I applied before the deadline :frowning: If not, oh well, I still have grad school as a back up and am starting substitute teaching next month regardless of their decision. I still would really love to be a part of the organization, and I felt my interview went well, but I don’t think it’s a good sign. Has anyone heard of the funding status not changing and an acceptance? It seems to be a pretty straight forward correlation.

Anyways, congrats to everyone no matter what happens in a few hours, and let’s all stay positive!! :)

My notification email’s subject line was “Welcome to the 2012 Corps”

Mine said “welcome to the 2012 corp” too :)

i am going crazy over here. i have watched grey’s anatomy, a movie, two episodes of the new girl, gone grocery shopping, and attempted to take a nap. i think i will have a stroke if they don’t start sending emails out by 5:30 or so like they did for everyone else last round. did anyone choose the mississippi delta? i may have asked already and can’t remember.

must. calm. down.
