Thanks chikvicious!!

I really just want to thank all of you for being a comfort during this application process. It’s been so nice to share excitements and fears with others who are in the same boat.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow! You all have helped me tremendously! Thanks for your transparency and your encouragement!

Congratulations plb and thank you chikvicious!

I’m so excited for the deadline! Good luck to everyone!
:)

Hi everyone!

I’ve been looking at this site since I first applied to TFA in January, and have obsessively been looking for a sense of assurance that I’m not alone in how bad I want this! I submitted my transitional funding status last Thursday (I wasn’t sure if I wanted to, so it was def. passed the suggested deadline) and it went incomplete within hours because one of the documents was incorrect, so i fixed my error and it changed to “under review.” Hopefully this helps anyone who is freaking out over status changes.

Good vibes for everyone!

Welcome Hellojess And Good luck!

Only 26:30 hours left!!

25.5 hours!!

And, the applicant page login has finally changed to acknowledge our nerves!

"Important Notice

If you applied at our fourth deadline, log on to view your acceptance status and regional and subject/grade level assignment here on March 6 after 8 p.m. ET. You will also receive an e-mail when you have been notified."

It’s here! It’s real! We’ll know soon and I’m using a big, tall wish that we are all applying our drive, diligence, and passion for all students to gain a quality education with TFA! Weee here we go!

Long time listener (like page 35), first time caller.

First off, good luck everyone and thanks for posting all the helpful info.

I hope that those that are accepted can use the struggle that has been the admissions process to find strength to give it their all, everyday, every class for their students.

To me, it is a huge responsibility to be admitted. Yes, to the children, but also to the other applicants. I know that if I were accepted, my conscience wouldn’t ever allow me to let down for thoughts of my students but also for thoughts of the thousands of worthy applicants whom for whatever reason didn’t fit into TFA’s imperfect selection model. At any point that I didn’t come to class with the utmost passion and dedication, I’d feel sick to my stomach thinking of the thousands of non-admitted applicants who were willing to give it their all for these kids but didn’t get the chance.

I think it is pretty heavy . . . but I feel confident that those of us that are admitted won’t let those of us that aren’t down. However it turns out, based on this forum, it is pretty evident that we’ll all be rooting for one another in the classroom.

FTK

Well said WestioN!

Hey, is anyone in here an applicant for TFA’s new Junior Application?

I’m going through the admissions process with you 2012 candidates, but if accepted, I’ll be placed into the 2013 corps.

Good luck to all you 4DL folks who find out tomorrow!

willardwonka, i’ve never heard of that, but thats cool, this way you either have plans ahead of time, or if not you still have time to apply for other things, good luck!!!

Never heard of it.

Today is the day, everyone! It’s now March 6th, and we’re down to the last 20 hours until notification! Eeeeee! My thoughts are with everyone! It’s getting awfully cumbersome to have to keep uncrossing all of my fingers as I do daily activities like type, walk to class, etc…
But seriously, there is so much to accomplish and I’m confident that all of us are going to eventually find the paths that make the most sense for us (hopefully with TFA!!) and that path will also contribute to giving every student the tools they need for an excellent education.

We’re now at the antagonizing moment where we slowly begin to ascend the rollercoaster track…let’s all hold on tight!

I also would like to thank everyone that has been sharing their precious time with me and all other applicants!
The waiting is almost over, I can’t wait to find out!!!
Oh! I did hear about the junior application, it’s this new thing that TFA is doing… It looks like they are really expanding! good luck to everyone!

If accepted, also post the region you were assigned to and grade level/subject you’ll be teaching

Especially the part about the TF, let us know if your TF status changed a couple of weeks ago or never did so that future applicants know if it has anything to do with being accepted or not!
