yes - they tried to sell us on the delta but i did not make changes based on the discussion.

Lol yeah, writing poetry helps take the nerves off! We also got a talk about the Delta but i already had a lot of high need areas on my list and it was one of them…so no change needed to be made. I put Memphis as número uno since I live just a few hours away it would be easier to move the family.

KnickyG, do you know what the phone number is? They are very slow with email!

@Educatedbrotha12: No, I don’t.
I thought it would be on the sight somewhere but all I can find is the email…I thought it would just make sense that they would have a number to call.

Ahh! The wait is killing me. I felt that I did really well, but who knows? It’s such a competitive process. I need to get my mind off this because I have spending a good portion of my free time thinking “What if” I get the positon.

Hello everyone. I just found this site today
I had my final interview on 28 March and I’m going to be doing my best not to worry myself to death until the notification day 12 April.

I’ve been reading the past posts and want to say a few of things. First, I’m so glad that I’m not the lone worrier, second thank you all for your comments, insights and humor, third I hope if I make it I can find some of you in person to support me and hope you will allow me to support you.

I’m not a recent grad, it’s been a while although I decline to say just how long
I just hope that I’m given the opportunity to pass on what I was given by a few extraordinary teachers I’ve had in my life. Best wishes to all.

@tfaoldster: You’re not the only one, so don’t feel different. I graduated a while back myself and, if accepted, will be dragging a hubby and a 7 year old along as well! A couple of us on here are “up there” in the years but I can say that I was shocked at my interview to find out that everyone but me was only just getting ready to graduate for the first time.

@KnickyG: Thank you so much for responding. I thought I would encounter some recent college grads but like you all save one were still in classes and walking for the diploma this May. I hope they enjoy the experience as much as I did.

I must say this about the group I was in they were, with 2 exceptions, amazing! Six of us went to lunch and we had a wonderful time. It was funny that because I love the show “Dr. Who” I became, as one of the group said, “even cooler” :)))

I had a wonderful time through out the day although I thought I might need to call a cardiologist before and right after the 5 minute teach as my heart was beating so rapidly

Again, thank you for your response and please forgive me as I don’t remember are you in the same boat as me a 5DL pup?

Did anyone else get invited to any webinars today? I saw emails from TFA and nearly fell over, but it was just invitations for early childhood ed & teaching mathematics webinars …

I got an invite to the teaching math and science webinar. The email text said it was sent out to people who indicated they were highly interested in thise subjects.

As for what this indicates about your application status, well, I don’t think it means anything. For example, somewhere in maybe 3D someone attended a webinar and eventually felt annoyed he/she didn’t get in and so it was wasted time. On the other hand, can’t hurt to get more info! I just don’t think we should read that much into it.

Anyone preference math/science and NOT get a webinar invite? They were sent out like a hour ago.

Oooh I only skimmed old posts & didn’t see that waltzindreams. It’s sort of weird how TFA does things sometimes! I might attend because, if not accepted to TFA, I have already been accepted to a traditional M.A.T. program, so the information would be useful either way for me at least haha.

Hey!

Did anyone get their transitional funding request completed yet? I did (I am 5 Deadline as well).

Mine still says under review. I submitted my materials on March 24th.

Yeah… I made a mistake on my original submission form, so I had to send them an email explaining some corrections. Maybe that is why it is done? Regardless, I hope its a good sign. However, I do understand there has been people with completed statuses and not been accepted.

i sent my info late and its still under review as of today :/

@TFAoldster: yup, I am a 5DL. My group was really great as well and I got a lot of compliments on my lesson plan but I think it was mainly because they weren’t expecting to learn how to speak Japanese!

Yeah, I got two webinar invites for Early Childhood Teaching and also for Science. I haven’t checked my trans. funding yet cause I don’t wanna be obsessing about it so I am trying really…really…hard not to check it. My hubby keeps jumping me every time I do!

I also got the web seminars invitations…guess since everybody is getting it’s not a sign of anything…or…we are all in :D

This is nerve wrecking!!!

Yep, I got the “Special Invitation” email which I nearly fell over for but then I saw that it supposedly went out to all applicants who expressed an interest in teaching Math/Science. I too am wondering if there is anyone who didn’t receive the email.

This is going to be a looooooong two weeks!!!

Agreed @NYRicanGirl, a verry long two weeks. Anyone else here put Greater Newark region as their highest preferred region?

Not I… I listed Connecticut as my highest preferred :-)
