Yes! I am having the same problem.
My son is ready to submit his Tamu app via common app. At the end it asks whether or not he wants to include his personal essay from common app? (It says not required from Tamu) should he select yes or no? The main essay and supplementals are in the Tamu section. This is confusing to us
He can select “No” since TAMU doesn’t use the common app essay but their main essay in the TAMU section.
Thank you
Has anyone that submitted their application on 8/1 gotten their AIS number yet?
Not us. Just patiently waiting. I thought we wouldn’t see it for 3-5 business days anyway so wouldn’t tomorrow be the earliest?
Just checking since last year some people had gotten theirs on the 3rd.
That would be a nice surprise.
@Christi1993 some top 10% applicants you’ve assisted haven’t received ETAM?
My two E TX nephews didn’t take the SAT and were top 5% to 10% and got Mays. The older one is doing well in Accounting and had lots of dual credit.
I had a top 2% blow off sat (this was prior to optional days) and got team
Great reminder to not “blow off” anything when it comes to competitive university admissions.
App hasn’t been downloaded yet. Applied 8/1.
Nothing here either. Applied 8/1 and app not yet downloaded. I saw in a FB group someone say they were told that by Wednesday they should get a UIN number.
I was able to order transcripts through the school district’s ordering system got an email today that they already processed and sent them!
How can you tell if the app has been downloaded?
I’m not sure how it looks when the student logs in, but mine added me as an “advisor” so I can log in and see the apps on a read-only basis.
So when logged in as an advisor, click on the student’s name, then Texas A&M University, and then from there you’ll see the “Application PDF” button and right above it says “not downloaded”
Kinda surprising that they haven’t even started downloading them yet.
I need everyone to take a deep breath. This is the very first “wait” you’re going to have. It’s all good yall. I promise. Set your expectations low on timeliness. You can only control what you can do.
Just got the email from tamu this morning with uin and ais info. Since we did use the apply texas app, there was a special note on the email telling how to pay on the ais once we get that set up. Here we go!
We got one too. Time to hurry up and wait again.
Is it normal for the AIS system to tell the student that they are missing the scholarship questions/information and that it needs to be filled out in Apply Texas? When we download and look at the application it shows that he answered everything asked of him in the scholarship section. I’m hoping that this is just a slow part of the process and shows the red “x” until it is looked over and is turned into a green check mark. Also, we keep getting an error when trying to make the application fee payment.
