Texas A&M Class of 2029 Official Thread

NSC registration has no bearing on housing… at all. So paying housing deposit in Oct is good.

Well I can hardly believe it’s happened. I’ve pinched myself and checked and rechecked so many times. My kiddo was ACCEPTED into TAMU for Visualization!!! :exploding_head: :face_holding_back_tears:

Status on the applicant portal has been updated to ‘You’ve Been Admitted!’ later today. Feel great. Thanks!

P.S. Under manage applications on Howdy still shows ‘Under Review’ so it may not be relevant anymore.

Howdy will change. I’m assuming it shows in dashboard the major and fall 2025.

Just got my update that I was admitted today, as well!

Quick question about Brown scholarship… when will I learn that I’ve been shortlisted for consideration?

Thank you!

He is admitted directly to his engineering major due to his NMSF status. If, after a year he wants to switch to a different major within Engineering School, can he still go through the ETAM to switch like with the GPA requirement, etc? It’s highly unlikely, but want to check first at least with the possibility. Thanks for all your help!

BTW, saw the official mail coming today. So excited!

I’m pretty sure whatever he chooses after year 1 he gets regardless of what he chose pre freshman year.

I haven’t seen as many people posting engineering acceptances recently. Can we assume that since the EA deadline has passed we might see more rolling in soon?

I know of two people who were accepted to engineering yesterday. I assume their stats were very high. I know they are both taking multi variable calculus right now.

Has anyone non auto gotten in for communications or education yet?

Wondering as well.

Any international freshment applicant admitted to Engineering.

Has anyone heard of any holistic acceptances? Parents from previous year kiddos: did you notice any trend on when acceptances tended to roll out?

Majority January - March. High test scoring applicants have and may be accepted prior.

Is the Bush School/International Affairs a competitive school to gain acceptance to A&M?

It just depends on how many spaces they have.. it’s first admitted first served in this case. Once it’s full and you are accepted to TAMU, they’ll place you in 2nd choice major. It’s more about the popularity of a major for those auto admits that determines space, nothing about the competitiveness of your application per major.

My son got accepted in to Mays around this time last year.

Anyone know when I can find out if I got Brown’s Scholarship + My Tuition and housing?

The Brown is a process, you must be invited for an initial interview (many don’t even get this far).
It is an EXTREMELY competitive scholarship.
Timeline, guideline, requirements, etc are all in the link below.
