Per semester… with all up all in, it’ll be around $60k for OOS and no scholarships or grants.
Pretty pricey for undergraduate unless you’re wanting something TAMU is known for, like engineering, and want to stay in Texas after graduation. Otherwise, I personally feel the benefits of a tamu degree doesn’t outweigh the cost. Will truly depend on the student’s end game (career).
One thing to keep in mind is if you go in the Corps they have scholarships available and it’s not too high of a bar to get the $4k per year one, The reason that matters is it also qualifies you for In State tuition so it is really a much larger scholarship.
Omg yes for sure. That would be icing on the cake! Corps scholarships are definitely more accessible than any other Tamu scholarship. But no one should go into the corps just for that purpose. You’ll be weeded out if you’re not committed.
I didn’t realize the poster was deciding on corps for scholarship info. Thought it was a generic question.
@Desertpalm11 Make sure she registers for a BH specific NSC session-her day 2 will be separate from general Mays. No need to attempt to get the May or early June sessions; my BHer chose the mid July session and registration was done in <3 minutes.
S25 applied Nov 23 for Mays Business school and second major choice as Math. Today he was trying to see if he can change his second major choice to Industrial Eng but it did not show any major option for Engineering as well as business schools though there are many other majors still available to select. Looks like either the business/Eng schools are full already or they have enough application and decisions ready to finalize. His portal still says his major as Business administration/ BA/BAC/College Station. Is it too late now to expect offers from Mays Business school as his application is still in review?
Yes, we realized it after reading through the forum! this was among his RD decision pool. . OOS, GPA - 3.4/4 (weighted out of 4), SAT1400, 7APs,10 honors, Decent EC’s. Has few acceptances (Penn state- undecided, Michigan State- Prebusiness, and a couple more ) waiting on a bunch of EA and RD.
