Jag played (and won) 2 years ago — the same season as Izzy. He had a slow start, and was actually evicted early. But he came back in a twist, laid low for a bit and then pretty much dominated the final 3rd of the season.
The contestants this season on TAR consist of one former BB houseguest and a teammate. The teammate wasn’t on BB — except for Dating Couple Kyland and Taylor, who both did BB, but different seasons
So other than knowing Jas is Jag’s brother, I got nothing else
In the past, there were occasional loose alliances. I wonder after this season if we will see stronger alliances. Makes sense early in the game if you can team up with a team that has got good navigational skills and there is certainly an advantage in some puzzle or skill based challenges to have 2 or 3 teams working together.
Agree with @skieurope re: BB and Jag. I really hate to see his team run away with this season - both on BB and AR he seems to somehow stay in the lead and things goes his way.
I will say that overall these teams are remaining positive and fun. I would have rather Matt and partner stay than the blue team that squeaked out again. Not a fan of either of them.
Anyone else tired of the constant stopping and asking if they can copy directions from a phone? I wish this somehow wasn’t allowed.
Enjoyed this episode. It certainly seems like Kyland and Taylor may have made a big mistake giving the express pass to J & J. I couldn’t believe how far apart the teams started. There was literally no way for the end teams to catch up. It also seemed like the hockey shot challenge was easier than those sorts of things are typically.
It does seem like there is more alliance building perhaps due to the social game the BBers played on their season. I don’t recall ever seeing a team give up a 1st place finish to another team.
Kyland and Taylor certainly know the Jags history and that he is not one to easily stop! I forget exactly what their reasoning was but I think it was sort of a hope that the Jag team stay around and maybe does their team a pay back favor down the road.
I wonder how soon they all got a shower after that beer challenge
Hockey challenge was hilarious. Does no one ice skate anymore? Maybe the editing made it look easier, although there were definitely a couple of lucky shots. Good study in physics though.
I just read that, according to Matt, each team got their opportunity to pitch to Kyland and Taylor why they should get the Express Pass. He was sorry it was cut from the show.
I though K&T also wanted to put a target on another BB winner team.
The catch-up location was the brewery, the first teams to arrive had to wait a couple of hours for a 9 AM opening.
It seemed like the needle in a haystack type challenge, plowing for a clue, was easier than past ones—I recall a team tearing apart haybales for hours and hours, and still not finding their clue. Those who got the hang of pulling the plow got their clue by just putting in the work.
Just back less than a week from a 12 day vacation, so we’re getting caught up on stuff.
Yes, glad they showed the difficulty they had until they put up their hoods. Really stinks. And glad there was at least some movement among the teams. I was pretty amazed the brothers got the rubick’s cube so quickly but was there instructions on how to solve it? The tasks were interesting.
Because they had to each complete it in like 7 seconds, even if someone was telling them exactly how to do it, 7 seconds for several turns of the cube is FAST.
Amazing perseverance on the scooter challenge. Definitely seemed to favor the stronger male players. Not really any reason for J&J to use the U turn to get a team that did not seem to be a threat to them. Liked the team that was eliminated, yet is was inspiring to see how the one sister supported the other.
