I loved this latest episode - evened the playing field and now we have a race. If the other brothers get eliminated it would really bring adventure to the game!
Iām so sad for Tucker and Eric - sure they won plenty of prizes but Iām sad for me cause I love watching them!
It should be noted that I could be wrong but I believe Tucker is dyslexic. That challenge had to be exceptionally challenging.
I donāt believe Tucker has ever publicly said such a thing.
I thought I remembered something he mentioned after his BB season on an interview. But as I inferred not 100% sure.
Regardless Iāll really miss them!
At this point Iād be ok with whatever team that wins - but I do have some slight favorites!
When people ask what good can joining a sorority do for you, well it can help you win the Amazing Race. That and the ability to drive a manual car.
Nah, I still wouldnāt join a sororityā¦
Iām unsure that Greek life would help. Those letters are upper case. Lower case Greek letters often donāt correlate to their upper case counterparts. The math and physics classes as I mentioned earlier would have been more helpful
I think Paige mentioned that she knew several from just living life (or something along those lines). It still took her a few attempts.
Tucker mentioned he was dyslexic in RHAP.
When my daughter joined a sorority she had to memorize the Greek alphabet. I think even having familiarity with the names would help.
We learned it as a song, just like ABCās (and could sing it fast enough for ā3 times on a matchā (with alcohol involved).
Was a very interesting episode although I was a litle sad about the outcome.
I know the brothers that survived elimination last week were given one vote in the u-turn drama - but that turned out to be such a non-issue for them. Especially given that two other teams were u-turned this leg. I would have thought they should have had some kind of a penalty, an additional challenge they would have to complete.
Did I miss a challenge (or simply forget one)? Which challenge would these have been helpful?
The Greek alphabet challenge.
I remember having to memorize and say it quickly. Two of my daughters are in sororities but pledging was nothing like it was in my day with callouts, tests, chores, interviews, etc., very time consuming busy work.
I stand corrected. Thanks
Thanks for that link - I wasnāt sure but for some reason I thought I remembered hearing that!
I think there is a little drama in the TikTok world right now with Taylor saying something about Tucker being dyslexic in sort of a laughable way.
Ohhhh duh! Sorry, I was actually thinking there was a physics challenge, and all I could think was the āboulderā rollingā¦
Well I did not take a physics class and I hated math and stopped before calculus so someone explain to me the relationship between the Greek Alphabet and physics/math?
I would have been totally blindsided by that challenge beyond just memorizing
If you mean why are they used? Tradition, mostly, as it originated with Pythagoras, Archimedes, Euclid. Most of us remember Ļ from geometry in HS, although here of CC, many of us know it from Ļ Day - the day MIT releases decisions.
If you mean how, they represent constants, special functions, and variables.
Itās been almost 30 years since I graduated with my bachelorās in computer engineering, and I was very happy that I could still recognize almost all of these Greek letters ![]()
(I missed three)
And almost 50 since I learned the Greek alphabet and I can still sing itā¦
