I wonder what was the secret to throwing those nails so that they would stick. Seems like those teams tried many different ways for many tries before giving up. And it didn’t seem to be a challenge where they could watch someone do it like the origami.
It was good for the brother/sister team that he’d been a soccer player because they don’t seem to be doing well at anything else, including communicating.
I just finished watching. It has been driving me nuts to know what happened to incur 15 posts here this week!!
Yes the soccer challenge could have been much more physical as a soccer challenge. Son and Pops choose it right - even though it was “soccer” it was a challenge that Pops could handle.
The nails task seemed ridiculous- and the origami challenge was no walk in the park.
That brother and sister pair…I bet they argued ALOT growing up!
Big mistake using the Express Pass for that task when already in first place. The alliances will be interesting. Driving the ATVs to the waterfall was pretty but basically useless in terms of the race. No challenge to it.
Jonathan “I neeeed to go to the bathroom” is definitely getting the bad edit this season, maybe deserved. I can’t imagine he’s the first person to say that but I don’t remember them showing it before.
I think I remember a very old Amazing Race where a team was eliminated because one of the members stopped to use a bathroom on the way to finding Phil?
I don’t think they were eliminated because they stopped to pee but because the stop to pee landed them behind the others so they were the last to arrive??
I loved this episode (and the week before) - I like the teams, I love the locations, I love the challenges (so far) - there’s been something for everyone to work hard at, and some breezier ones.
I don’t have a favorite team right now because I really like most of them.
I think it was a mistake to get rid of Scott and Lori. Yes, they were a strong team, but over time they would wear down. I would’ve targeted one of the younger all-male teams.
I have to say I was getting worried about Jonathan when he was in the water nearly passed out on that surf board.
Scott and Lori were a very good team. I could be wrong but they seemed to come on a little aggressive in their play and that made their threat more noticeable. They needed to keep it under wraps a little bit.
Watched last night. I was surprised that both the detoured teams struggled with the coral challenge.
If I was applying for the show I’d make sure I knew how to confidently swim and also how to drive a stick shift vehicle.
