The Amazing Race 2025

Happy with the final outcome and Jonathan was surprisingly supportive tonight.

I usually don’t find the challenges terribly dangerous, but the water surfing thing didn’t look that safe to me. My nephew’s girlfriend is an expert kitesurfer, been doing it for at least 15 years when she fell from the sky and broke her femur and had to be airlifted to a hospital. This looked similarly challenging for a beginner

Loved the winning team but disappointed that the nurses did not make the final leg.

I was happy for the winners, although not much of a challenge on the last leg. I was also OK with the final three, and was happy for the team member that persevered through a difficult challenge and was supported by her husband.

This also shows that luck plays a part in this game. Two of the final teams almost went home earlier in the season saved by very bad luck for one team and by the NEL.

Overall good season with interesting places and challenges.

One of the best seasons in recent times (in my opinion) - great(!!!) locations, interesting challenges, super contestants - all of it.

Congrats to the winners! Well played, never lost your cool, had fun, read the clues, played to your strengths!

Told my kids the same thing. Both are athletic and not prone to panic. I did teach them to drive a manual on a car I had from the 90’s. They’d have to go through some map reading training though. 5/10 years ago, I thought I could team up with either kid. Just don’t have the speed or strength anymore, but I’d kick butt on maps and manual drive – dancing/music not so much, that’s where I would have had to rely on D or S.

Possible spoiler

Did anyone else notice?

When the team that came in first on the last mat before the finale, Phil congratulated them and said their ā€œprizeā€ was being flown ā€œbusiness classā€ (as opposed to cash or travel prize) - which they got very excited about - but then their seats were identical to the other teams.

I may have missed something but I feel like they didn’t get a prize that leg.

LOL so I’ve watched the first of the finale episodes but not the FINAL finale episode except the first few minutes so I could see who did get eliminated at #4. So sorry they didn’t make it. :(. I wonder how close in time it was.

BUT I decided to come here and just see who won and not have to be nervous through the whole last episode. But no one has actually said who won, lol on this thread! I’m thinking it’s the guys and certainly I can look it up.

Always have to say at least once a season…. ā€œPhil sure looks GOODā€!!! He doesn’t age a lot!

I have always thought Phil was good looking, and yes, he is aging very well.

Happy with how it ended. Agree that this was one of the best seasons in a while. The hydro flying challenge looked super hard and I was impressed that Ana didn’t give up (and presumably not because if she did Jonathan would belittle her). LOL that the sailing challenge failed to be what the planners probably envisioned. I wonder what those kids were thinking.

I read that the last leg was delayed, it sounded like by several days, because of severe rain and flooding in Miami. So after they landed and took the speedboat they paused for a couple of days. I think that explains why they didn’t look as last leg frazzled as they sometimes do and possibly why Jonathan was ā€œnice Johnathan.ā€ I also read that Alyssa and Josiah are expecting a baby next month.

Yes. But then I couldn’t remember if he said ā€œas the winners of this leg of the race….ā€ Or if he just said you’ll be flying back to the US business class.

He said both

I watched last night. OMG that aerial water thing. I’m impressed that they all finally got it! That had to be traumatic for Anna (with a personal victory at the end). So happy for the boys, I feel a well deserved run - really any of the three did the work the to get there.

While Anna’s husband has some work to do, I couldn’t help but like him when he was encouraging to her. But dude, that needs to happen like most of the time!

The brother and sister were not on my radar earlier in the season so I hope they take this - especially the sister- as a motivation confidence booster. I’d love to know what they do IRL.

He’s a senior at Stanford studying CS. She’s a Brown alum with a degree in IR who also completed on the swim team in the butterfly and IM events.

Slackers.

The new season begins September 25. They announced the cast yesterday. Each team is compromised of one contestant from Big Brother.

Oh brother

I’m not a Big Brother watcher so this crossover isn’t a positive in my book.

OMG this is too funny.

You don’t have to be a BB fan for it to make sense. They will just be couples with some quirky and funny like other couples who go on the race. Looks like many of them are pairing up with a family member - NOT another BB alum.
