I don’t understand why the twins used their express pass last night since it wouldn’t get them to first place and almost certainly wasn’t needed to keep them from last place. It seems as if they used it out of laziness because they just didn’t feel like doing some of the tasks. It’s a strategic mistake. I hope they lose anyway due to being thieves.

The rockers definitely seemed tired and down and out of energy. I think they were ready to be ‘done’ even outside of the passport thing.

I didn’t realize so many people couldn’t figure out time zones and they didn’t know that UTC+4 to UTC+6 means a difference of 2 hours between those two time zones. I’ll bet that was frustrating for some of them. It was good to see the cocky one fail on that one. The goat farmer guy got it immediately though.

It’s a good thing for the chippendales that the Russian dancer judge was lenient on this one. I wasn’t sure the one with the bad ankle would be able to do it but he did a pretty good job given the bad ankle. Another team had pretty poor form but got the thimbs up from the judge as well.

I think I like the chippendales the best out of all of them due to their personalities but can see them possibly losing.

I didn’t until she said that, but it makes sense. Otherwise, you would try to save it for the finale, and that wouldn’t be very compelling – unless you were way behind for some reason.

Whew, I am fully caught up now! I feel bad for James & Abba, really would have like them to race some more. What “nice boys” I kept thinking throughout the season.

Truly adore the Chippendales, and I gotta say, the Goat Farmers are growing on me. I do think they are not a very strong team to contend for the win, but I do like their determination.

I’d have aced the time zone challenge, but only because I’ve lived all over the world, and have family scattered everywhere. I’d have sucked at the Russian dance, but they sure made it look fun!

In the very first episode, Ryan and Abbie were searching for a clue, and the couple that would have come in first told them where to find it. When they were all racing to the mat, Ryan and Abbie ran ahead of the couple that had helped them and were the winners of that leg.

It was a plan hatched by all teams except Abbie and Ryan and the Beekman boys. It ensured that Abbie and Ryan would have to perform the u-turn, thereby pretty much guaranteeing their elimination. Since the Chippendales were the first ones to get to the u-turn board, they u-turned Abbie and Ryan per the agreement, and then Lexi and Trey u-turned the Chippendales and, since they’d already passed the u-turn point, they did not have to perform the extra activity.

But I don’t remember any discussion of those three teams U-turning each other. Only Abby and Ryan. Besides, didn’t Trey And Lexi see that the Chippendales already had U-turned Abby and Ryan so they had to have known the Chippedales were ahead of them?

I think I recall them being at the airport when the discussion took place. Jaymes (blonde Chippendale) was a bit hesitant because he’s “too nice” according to the others, but the dark haired James promised they would do it if they arrived first. Yes, Lexi and Trey knew the Chippendales had already passed the u-turn mark which is why they chose to u-turn them, making it null and void for the Chippendales. That guaranteed that Abbie and Ryan couldn’t get there and u-turn the Beekman boys.

Good explanations of the U-turns. I couldn’t figure out why it was a good thing to u-turn the Chippendales. Now I realize it was like a placeholder u-turn. I kind of like all the teams now but the twins are still at the bottom of my list due to the theft issue.

OK, apparently I need to start giving TAR my full attention. I’m still trying to treat it as brain candy Lol.

That makes perfect sense, and even when I was trying to catch ds up I said a benefit of the wasted U-turn was it ensured that Abby and Ryan couldn’t get back in the race. I just missed that they talked about wasting that second U-turn. Knowing that, the twins and Longhorns would have been MAD if the Chippendales hadn’t used it. I’m glad that they did.

Jaymes was torn about using the U-turn, but explained that his parents really needed the money and his allegiance was with his family, not Abbie and Ryan. I still want those guys to win.

Nobody seemed to have as much trouble with ditch jumping as contestants did the first time, or their problems with the task were edited out.

^^ Except Ryan who ended up in the water at least once and I thought, heck - you are tall, this should be easy for you. The thing was they would’ve u-turned their mother if it meant they would not be eliminated.

I’m slow this morning. And apparently last night. So, when Abby and Ryan saw the U-turn sign they knew that the other three teams were gunning for them, right? I mean, they put it together that Trey and Lexi U-turning the Chippendales was worthless, right?

I need to rewatch this episode on hulu!!! :D

What astounded me was how angry A&R were for being U-turned but yet a few minutes before their plan was to U-turn the Beekman’s. Glad they are gone!
