The Cafe Watering Hole: PART DEUX

I used bits from short answers and different essays. It was like puzzles. It did make me realize how much better I could’ve made my Scripps app, but oh well. It wasn’t terrible.

I never said Dick Cheney wasn’t a d-uche, he’s aptly named.

I’m terrible at this New Year’s resolution thing.

I can finish (start) my homework tomorrow, so I think for now I’ll just look up college stuff and freak out for three months.

Snoopyiscool, have you received an account on Harvard’s website? Because I did and they apparently haven’t received any of my counselor/teacher stuff. Have they received yours?

Also, I just got a Princeton interview.

SAME THING! I was freaking out about that earlier, but if the Common App sends those automatically, maybe they just haven’t downloaded them yet.

Do I want a Northwestern interview?

Yes you do.

I think that a bunch of colleges are dealing with tons and tons of mail (I mean, Harvard probably got like, 20,000 letters in the past month alone) and it takes a while to sort through all that, so I’d give it a while.

I’m all jittery. I don’t think I got the Scripps scholarship, but ah well.

I’m sucking at this New Year’s resolution.

I have no idea how they made Youth in Revolt into a movie; the book was so …dirty. And dense, ish. Also, they made a movie called Leap Day and they’re releasing it not in a leap year. They are SO blaspheming my birthday.

And, why do I feel like making a chances thread? Why?? Why??! I’m so insecure sometimes, but then I talk.

Fine. No one else answer. MY THREAD

I just realized that I mentioned something vaguely illegal on my Columbia app. I don’t feel like fixing it. Oh wellll.

I’m pretty sure four in a row is a record.

Got my first thin envelope today; sad :(.

I’ve never gone to 5 in a row. All my homework is done, though, so maybe I’ll get to 10.

Mike, if you’re reading this, I’m going to need you to sneak into the admissions office at NU and put all the files from half Asian, big city-lovin’, charming, witty Tennizzlers into the accepted pile. And write in something about a full ride.

I got into kollij today.

Congrats! Which one? Is it Canadian? If it’s Canadian it doesn’t count, you being the sole citizen and all.

It is Canadian, and it is a huge safety, seeing as I was accepted slightly over four days after I applied. But they gave me generous scholarship money, so…

So it’s the UT of Canada. Gotcha.

I didn’t get the Scripps merit aid. Is it bad if I was surprised? Ah well. I like NU the most right now, besides big beautiful Columbia with its <10% acceptance rate. Big and beautiful. Columbia is my Aretha. Should I send in an addendum to that effect?

Merit aid is a pile of sh-t.

In other news, I just found out that I got a grant I applied for for one of my clubs.

I’m trying to figure out how to fill out this elusive National Honor Society scholarship form, but I can’t find it. Oh well. I’ll just go to UT and be happy, I suppose.

I recently realized that if I went back and looked up every single random thing I’ve ever posted here I would have a brilliant novel.

■■■.

We’re all freaking out about that. It’s hilarious.

IT ISN’T HILARIOUS IF YOU’RE ME

gosh.
