I even requested one of the nerdy dorms as my first choice. But no need to worry. My second choice was a more normal one.

So since your area has so many Asians, does that mean your school kicks ass at science and math competitions in your area?

The Cyrillic alphabet is easy. I know most of it already. As for the grammatical system, I think I can handle it. I studied Japanese a few years ago, and I’d venture to say its grammatical system is every bit as complicated as that of Russian.

Chinese is the wish of my parents. I’m not that enthusiastic about it, which makes me think it’s a bad idea to try to learn it.

lol no.

take me home country road this song will be in head forever now.

Japanese is easy.

I know bits and pieces of Japanese and it defies basically everything. But it’s a really cool language. I one day hope to be fluent.

I can understand Russian when it’s spoken slowly. And when it’s written in the Latin alphabet.

I have a book of Latin quotations and a Latin dictionary and I haven’t done more than glance at either since they were given to me because school ruins my life.

You don’t want to look at it.

What are some nonnerdy things we can talk about?

That’s a hip thing. Are you hip?

In comparison to others at my school, I am moderately hip. In comparison to anyone else, I am hip.

Ew. Do you wear plaid, or is that not hip anymore?

I was accused of something scandalous today; my lack of deflective skills had it coming.

So a local news anchor just died, and half the commercials are memorials.

You can’t say you were accused of something scandalous and not say what it is. Craziness.

The Cyrillic alphabet is much easier to memorize than the kana characters, if you know those. I guess the random language review sites weren’t kidding when they said Russian and Serbo-Croatian are really close.

French has much better opportunities for the college setting. But I don’t want to be so western-euro-centric all the time. And I have always been fascinated with Russian history for some reason.

Ryan stealing the bowling shoes, lol.

You so don’t know me.

Ryan’s phone calls, lol.

This program was made for you, snoop. My friend is in it and she loves it.

The only German I plan to learn is the words to Country Road.

I couldn’t apply to a specific school already. I mean, I could, but I wouldn’t get in.

Take me home.

You have to pick a specific school at NU, undeclared isn’t an option. And you will get in.

I get to pitch in a stadium tomorrow. A stadium.

Stadium, schmadium. And my parents wouldn’t pay for me to learn “something made up.” I’d have to apply to the arts and sciences one.

Ah, well, you can still do all the theater/writing/dramatic arts stuff there if you want to, apparently it’s a huge presence on campus, or so I’m told.

Chipotle or BK.
