Parties skip junior year.

Good night. I shall awaken to failure.

Tomorrow is the school-sponsored senior skip day. Mwahahahaha.

None of the seniors who are in the IB are coming to school because their 3-week long exam period has just begun. I’ve never seen a group of people look so anxious and unhealthy in my entire life.

So do they finish at the end of the three weeks? Or do they have yet more exams for the school after that?

I’m not sold on the IB program. I’m not really sold on AP either. But my high school is a joke. There has to be some good way to educate students.

I think that AP classes cover more material but place greater emphasis on knowledge of facts than on understanding, whereas IB classes give ridiculous amounts of work and cover less material, but focus more on understanding of concepts.

Both have their faults.

They have two weeks of school and then regular school exams after that. Ridiculous, I know.

I think I like the covering more material stuff. There are some AP classes that give a ridiculous amount of work, but the program itself doesn’t require it as the IB “programme” does. Last year in chemistry, I understood everything perfectly, but the lack of material was enough to drive me insane. It wasn’t really a ridiculous amount of work, but it was more than necessary. So I think I like the breadth rather than the “understanding” philosophy. However, I also like the IB’s essay stuff, since writing essays is kind of important. I don’t really know how much essay writing the AP program entails. I know the AP tests have essays on them, but I don’t think the classes necessarily have to write that many.

So I guess I like the AP program more, though it doesn’t do enough to ensure day-to-day progress.

I didn’t die.

That’s good to hear.

Lit tomorrow. I care this ( ) much.

Still failed. But I didn’t die.

Bologna.

I have like three important things left to do, school-wise, for high school.

I have 4 things left.

I have one and a quarter important things left to do. Hopefully, I can get the quarter done tonight.

Promise rings are so pointless.

Quarter?

Canadian quarters have pictures of handicapped children curling.

Canadian quarters > Stanley Nickels > Hell > US quarters

But what is their ratio to Schrute Bucks?

Euros make Canadian currency look like play money, so meh. I was quite disappointed that when I was in Spain, I pretty much only got Spanish euros. I figured I’d get some French ones in Barcelona, but I didn’t. I think I had one 20-cent coin from Portugal, but that was it.

Actually, the euro bills look like play money. But it’s cool anyway.

Of course.

Lovers in Japan is nice.

How do you people write essays? Especially you, Canadian. My teachers have always advocated the “tell them what you’re going to tell them, tell them, and tell them what you told them” style. But I find that highly repetitive, and so much repetition most certainly cannot get me good grades at UChicago. I’ve read other essays that lack the regurgitation of points for a conclusion, and they seem just fine to me. What do you all do?

That reminds me of the 12 Girls Band. Even though I have no idea what Lovers in Japan is yet.

Psh. I knew that.
