The Cafe Watering Hole: PART DEUX

You don’t offend my sensibilities.

SNL JT omg.

There hasn’t been a single moment in my entire life when I have claimed to be able to do anything remotely resembling drawing.

Emphatic.

ill be your mother lover ahhahahah

I like Flo Rida. And, I recently realized that Flo Rida is Florida. So.

@JB, I took a class and a friend helped me.

Sundays are the best. Even when you have an AP test that you are woefully under prepared for on Monday.

I concur. Except Tuesday.

HAHAHAH WHATS THERMOCHEMISTRY I DON’T KNOW OR CARE HAHAHHA

Shows how much it took to make his logo lol

I didn’t even know what a Kanye West bear was until now.

Thermochemistry is easy peasy. Read up on Hess’ law and you’re all set.

I can’t keep all the ΔHs and ΔSs straight. Calorimetry? HAHA

[Hulu - Saturday Night Live: Motherlover](http://www.hulu.com/watch/72434/saturday-night-live-motherlover) Find a proxy, Canadian, because it will be worth it.

I wish my tablet were here this weekend.

Don’t worry about Gibb’s Free Energy. Understand enthalpy and it will all make sense.

I don’t need a proxy. I so badass.

I can’t learn enthalpy in the next 36 hours. At least not well.

Canadian ways.

That doesn’t matter. There is nothing to learn. Hess’ Law is definitely all you need to know about thermochemistry, and just read a short summary of the Gibbs equation and know what all the things mean and that’s it.

Confused American.

I feel like I should take some sort of class this summer. But I really don’t know where to look.

No, I have to know all the specific heat equations and calorimetry things and entropy and delta things auuggh. AP Chem must be different than IB. The book doesn’t even mention Gibbs. I don’t even know what it is.

Hmm, that’s weird. The Gibbs free energy equation tells you if a reaction will be spontaneous. It’s weird that that isn’t on the AP exam…

The formula is G = delta H - (T)(delta S)

If you get a negative value for G, it means that the reaction will be spontaneous. Delta H is obviously the enthalpy, T is the absolute temperature, and Delta S is the variation of entropy. So you can see that a highly endothermic reaction (positive delta H) can still be spontaneous if the temperature is high enough.

My IB class didn’t go into much detail about entropy, and I’ve never been particularly good with calorimetry, so I can’t help you with that.

Nope. But, then again, I haven’t done anything in chem all year, so I could be remembering wrong. But honestly, I don’t really care. I’m pretty sure I did or can scrape a 3 in calc or Latin, and I know I passed apush, so this is small beans.

Still don’t know what delta S is. Good luck to me.

hey guys dont you love typing stuff and pressing buttons oh man its awesome

its pretty ballin
