I need a visit from the graduation fairy.

Why not just general fairy?

If I see another “omggg prom was soo ammazzinngg/crunkk” status update I might bust a cap in a bad way.

People use crunk like that? Most people here don’t even know what crunk is.

Facebook statuses are, in general, rather unintelligent.

I haven’t really had any experience that’s been ammazzinngg. Except for Spain. But that counts as more than one experience. Prom is just silly.

Myspace/facebook. And of course people use crunk like that. I use crunk like that, with minimal irony. And prom is just silly, which is why I made no effort to go.

Did you know CC made me semi-hip once? The Canadian is too far gone, but I survived.

Interesting.

People here say that stuff is hardcore.

What’s hardcore? Crunk? That’s…I wouldn’t last in Ohio. I’d be Kevin Bacon in Ohio.

But since you didn’t get that reference, I’ll tell you it had to do with Footloose. The movie. Do you get movies in Ohio?

I’ve met a fair number of people from other schools who completely misuse the word “legit”. For example, they would say that a crazy party was “legit”. Ridic.

Haha, yes, we do now. I know of the general topics covered in Footloose, though I’ve never seen it. Watching movies is actually pretty popular here, since there’s really little else to do.

Yeah. A crazy party here is hardcore.

Don’t get me started on legit.

Facebook says I’m Swedish.

It says everyone is Swedish. I’m German.

I did so much this weekend. I’m proud of myself.

I did absolutely nothing school-related. I’m practically done with any serious work. I think I have a stupid poster to make this week about Dante’s Inferno, which I read last year, so I won’t have to put much effort into it when I read my lit book’s highly abbreviated version.

I just have my silly graduation speech to write. By May 20.

I’m too legit to quit.

Even I didn’t understand that.

So I’m basically done with school work. It turns out that we’re not even reading Inferno. We’re just making posters about it. Brilliant.

I bet you all wish you went to a school where it is possible to get a 4.0 by finishing all your homework in your two study periods per day.

I do go to a school like that.

AP Chem tomorrow. Death tomorrow. The two are related.

Every bit of that sentence is the opposite of my school. It isn’t possible to get (the equivalent of) a 4.0, no one finishes all the homework, and no one has two study periods per day.

That’s Canada for you. I bet you lived in Ohio/Tennizzle now. (But I’m sure you prefer Tennizzle out of those choices.)

You know how you mentioned Gibbs free energy equation and I was all ■■■? Yeah. My teacher gave us worksheet on the last two chapter of thermochemistry kinetics whatever idk on Friday and I looked at it for the first time today and Gibbs was on there. So. Oh.

Tennizzle has better weather. Ohio, especially up here where I live, is basically just Toronto weather with less snow. Tennizzle has lovely winters.

I have two options. I can just wing my placement tests in September, which means I´ll have to spend two whole years in UChicago´s core. I could also study for them, and then I´d have a chance of coming close to AP level, which might place me out of the intro courses. I´m leaning toward just winging them.

For instance, in Chemistry, my teacher crammed acids and bases into the end of the year because she´d spent a whole month teaching us polyatomic ions, and another month and a half on basic stoichiometry. And three weeks on significant figures, and three weeks on balancing chemical equations. Counting all the days for tests and quizzes, and the few scattered labs, that means we pretty much covered nothing but that stuff. So I´ll be way behind most other UChicago students.

I suppose. We get out of school with flurry forecasts. WEAK.

I’d wing it. Might as well learn as much as possible. It’s not like they construct the core to be impossible. I, on the other hand, whiled away my time in AP Chem this year by doing useless teenage girl things. Chemistry? HAH.

Did you draw Hello Kitty on your bookcover? Daydream about your future with Nick Jonas?

And no, it´s not impossible, but I don´t want to be stuck taking a bunch of courses outside my major for that long.

I just realized that I was on Spanish keyboard layout, so my apostrophes are funky.
