The Cafe Watering Hole: PART DEUX

The only reason I’m not posting is because no one else is.

The Fountainhead has rewired my brain. Oop’s.

Oop is what?

I just like saying that. I’m glad you pronounced it correctly. I think I already told the story behind it.

I’m done with high school. Yay!

You just couldn’t wait another hour to tell us, could you???

There was a really hot foreign sports car parked at the school today. It’s really weird because a) no one in Ohio drives foreign cars, b) no one in Ohio drives sports cars, and c) school is no longer in session, and all the teacher workdays are over.

I want a really hot foreign sports car.

You want a hot foreign sports car? Haha. HAHA. HAHAHAHAHAH

Make sure it’s fast.

I want an Aston Martin. Scratch that, I have an Aston Martin. It’s black. I drive it all the time.

Like James Bond?

I have a Maserati. I drive it all the time.

Exactly like James Bond.

I’ve been to way too many ska shows lately. Supporting friends is a pain, sometimes.

Just pretend you’re snoop while you’re at ska shows then. There are only crappy screamo shows here, and if there is anything better I’m way too lazy to look for them.

Kings of Leon is from Mt Juliet. I feel so cool for knowing where that is.

Don’t get me wrong, ska is fine, it’s just one can only skank and listen to streetlight covers for so long.

The fact that screamo is so prevalent in Tennizzle still confuses me. I’ll see Kings of Leon this summer. And many other bands.

The bigger the city, the more screamo. It’s a delicate dichotomy. Not everyone likes country music, especially here because of the military. And lack of accents. And ghettoness. But it changes when you go more south, within 15 miles or so.

People don’t know I’m into music, except for my best friend. I don’t like the other semi-hip kids here because they’re caught on to things that are so yesterday. At least I think so.

Who knows.

Interesting. Here people are mostly into underground hip-hop, ska/ska-punk/punk, your general indie music, a little bit of house, and the rare girl likes country. And everyone ironically enjoys Top 40 music. No one, and I mean no one, listens to screamo.

Sprinkled amongst the plebes you have those who like the really crappy indie music. Like, really crappy. Call me a hipster, whatever, it’s crappy. Which is why I don’t bother trying to convert anyone.

I don’t ironically like top 40, I vaguely like it. I’m not a snob anymore. That much.

I like probably 5 out of the top 40, with a nearly complete lack of irony/snobbery. I just don’t like most of it.

I want to know where I’m going to live all ready.

You are going to live in a room with a person.

Why thank you.

And now, completely unrequested from you, I’m going to tell you my top ten freshman seminar choices.
