<p>At least I am not getting weird prom dresses- but am currently seeing university of oregon & university of alabama- because I ( I assume) I have recently mentioned each of those states in posts.</p>

<p>I’ve never mentioned or looked up either school and get the same two show up all of the time.</p>

<p>I use FlashBlock so I just see a lowercase f in a circle where the ads would normally be.</p>
<p>I guess I am now seeing Simpson university & I have never even heard of that- so it must just be a coincidence

<p>This morning I saw Iowa State University, which would have been really spooky yesterday when I was sitting here in my dad’s old ISU sweatshirt!</p>
<p>I see an ad for Belhaven University, a school of which I have never heard.</p>
<p>Is that what “cookies” do, basically track where you go (click)?</p>
<p>I post mostly in the Visual Arts forum and I get lots of ads for art schools (Pratt, etc).</p>
<p>Baylor is showing up for me today.</p>
<p>DeVry and Georgetown. Hmm…</p>
<p>I was thinking they were creepy too. I see mostly Florida schools, and I am in Florida, although I have not posted about Florida schools, well, except for right now. ;)</p>

<p>It knows I was at the Rack yesterday. It’s showing the Nordstrom 10K scholarship ad. It’s a little confused about the age of my daughter, however.</p>
<p>Ads for Jones NY suits showed up the day after I looked there online; thought it was a coincidence; then I looked at purses online; next day, there were the ads.</p>
<p>The ads are creepy, and I also think that they are causing pages to load more slowly…</p>
<p>I keep getting car ads, because I have been researching cars lately. It is a little weird. I also get mattress ads, even though I researched and bought a new mattress several months ago.</p>
<p>I see a Thrifty car rental ad right now and I was on their web site on Saturday. Yikes! I got the Nordstrom scholarship ad, too. Guilty as charged. I love Nordstrom’s (if it’s the same Nordstrom).</p>
<p>I never even notice the ads.</p>
<p>But if I start seeing ads for Weight Watchers and Alcoholics Anonymous, I’m going to be annoyed and suspicious :D</p>
<p>I get Iowa State a lot–my alma mater. Right now it is the University of Oregon with which I have no known connection.</p>
