The Class of 2010 ED Thread/Roster

<p>“laife is laike a bawx of chocolaetes…you never naw what choo gon get”</p>

<p>was that a cliche before or after forrest gump.</p>

<p>claim to fame: will ferrell. my friend’s mom is his godmother. and vice versa. other one…nation’s “safest” city. HA. not while my mastermind still works. dona corleone (VIII)…</p>

<p>So… who’s visited already? Going to visit? Won’t visit until after apps?</p>

<p>I’m visiting in a couple of weeks!</p>

<p>I’ve visited twice. The second time it was very humid and hot outside, so the only thing on my mind as I was taking the tour was how to take the shady paths without disrespecting the tour guide. Maybe for that reason I like Princeton better in the spring than in the summer. The first time I went the cherry blossoms and magnolias had just come out and they were absolutely breathtaking, especially inside the little residential courtyards.</p>

<p>Name: Canaday Madman
Interests: Government, law, writing, ruling the world, the usual
Possible major at Princeton: I’m gonna try for the Woodie Wilson school, being a Government and law nerd. Otherwise, I’d just major in Government.
Home state: California (groan)…capitol of the pop culture liberals…and here I am, a pro-choice Republican
Religion: Atheist</p>

<p>On a sidenote, I visited Princeton a couple of weeks ago and was given a customized tour by my cousin, who’s going to be a junior there. It was gorgeous, but very humid. </p>

<p>Also applying to (should Princeton defer me):
Harvard University (Reach. Kind of tied with Princeton for favorite, but Princeton has a better undergraduate education quality and I REALLY want to go to Harvard Law school)
Brown University (Reach.)
Georgetown University (Reach-ish Match.)
Columbia University (See Georgetown)
Swarthmore College (Match)
Cornell University (Match)
Three yet-to-be-determined schools whose statistics won’t scare my overpessimistic mother</p>

<p>Nice to be joining all of you</p>

<p>welcome, Canaday Madman! :)</p>

<p>I visited once and i’m visiting again in a few weeks, but i’ve been there tons of times for soccer games and track meets (i’m only 45 minutes away, lol!)</p>

<p>Hey, I’m Letitia (Le-tish-a) kinda rhymes with dish? (not le-ti-ti-a, as I’ve often heard my name pronounced)…mmm, I go to a relatively large school in no. VA. I enjoy running, ice cream, and pasta. eh…school… haha. good luck all you ED-ers</p>

<p>Mmm, I’ve visited…maybe every year of my life since I could remember. Just can’t miss those parades…</p>

<p>Hi, Letitia! (Yay! A Virginian! How many states are we representing now?) Will you be joining our ED family?</p>

<p>Letitia - I love your name!!! :D</p>

<p>haha, family? sure ;)</p>

<p>Welcome! : )</p>

<p>wow… its that time of the year again isnt it??</p>

<p>ED rosters and the whole thing… GOOD LUCK to everyone here, and i hope each and everyone of you make it in (hey one can hope). </p>

<p>Dont miss the chance to read last year’s threads, theres a helluva lot of usefull stuff there. </p>

<p>Again, good luck guys :P</p>

<p>=) thanks! I think we’ll need all the luck we can get. Haha it is a little early for ED rosters, hm? Last year’s I think started in October… :p</p>

Interests: International Relations, Econ, Government, a bit of history (though I despise memorizing timelines), Neuro and Cognitive sciences.
Possible major at Princeton: I’m going to ATTEMPT a major at econ, but will probably fail miserably because I’m far from stellar at math. Other than that, I’d probably focus on IR and go Woodie Woo, with maybe a minor in something “practical” like finance or bio.
Political Ideology: Republican libertarian, fiscal disciplinarian. However, in terms of Foreign Policy, I find myself predominantly an unlikely and paradoxical combination of Neo-Liberal and Neo-Conservative (hard to explain, e-mail me if you want to know more).
Religion: Atheist
Favorite Movies: Fight Club, Harold and Kumar, The Insider, anything by Zhang Yi Mou (The Road Home, Hero, House of Flying Daggers), Kill Bill Vol. 1 (hated Vol. 2). Errr… I think that’s it folks. Oh yeah… Finding Neverland was touching. As a guy, I must admit I cried (just a bit!) at the last scene with Depp and the kid in the park. <em>tear</em>
Favorite Books: 1984, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Choke, The Great Gatsby, Lullaby, Siddartha, Demian, White Noise.
EC’s: Prez of Model UN (mad MUN freak), prez of JSA, opinion editor of school newspaper, Amnesty International treasurer. Did some amateur filmmaking sophomore and junior years, which was fun.

Also applying to:
Harvard University
Brown University
Georgetown University
Cornell University
U Chicago
McGill, Queens, U of T (what I’d like to call my “Canadian Safety-Match Trio”)
Dartmouth
Possibly PENN if I like my visit there

<p>Name: Mark
Interests: biking, running, math, piano, sax, chess, bball, doing college apps (actually, not really)
Major: Math?
EC: Math, band, CC, track, chess, schol. bowl
Applying:
Pton (not likely)
Duke
UofI Champaign
MIT
UChicago
Berkeley</p>

<p>BTW, what if none of us actually get in?</p>

<p>Haha don’t worry – it won’t happen. A little over a third of us will, if you look at the statistics on older CC ED roster threads. =)</p>

<p>asiaknight i didn’t have my glasses and i thought you put sex instead of sax. since you’re a guy though…</p>

<p>Did I put sax? I meant sex.</p>

<p>lol to people who’ve seen the app already… I’m worried, I don’t see a space for an optional “Anything Else?” essay. :(</p>
