We will be in Chicago for my son’s Juilliard audition on Thursday (anyone else?) I have printed the Unified school list for the Palmer House…think it would benefit him to do walk in’s on Thursday afternoon? He would likely need head shots and resumes?
Acting mom here, D just finished her last audition yesterday and I second what @CaMom13 said- trust your kiddos, help them navigate the logistics but they know what they are doing when it comes to performance! My D also enjoyed the Tisch audition along with all but one of her 10 others (which was just a quick in and out). Most programs take the time to create a wonderful experience. At Juilliard we even had a fantastic MFA guitarist perform for the waiting parents, it was lovely! BALs to everyone!
Heading to chicago for Unifieds, I have 6 auditions scheduled as of right now and want to try and do some walk-ins. Does anyone have a list of schools that typically have walk-ins that will be there? Thanks!

@MTauditions2019 Here’s a list of traditional Unified schools and a note of those that traditionally have walk ins. I suggest visiting those schools on Monday morning and find out their procedures as some take walk in sign ups for the week, some only take them for the day, while others say check back twice a day:

Also, find out if they have a dance call, so you don’t miss that if it’s before you get a walk in.
Also, some may require you apply to the school to audition which you can do online while you are there and then just show a confirmation.
@NewToThis13 I would definitely do some walkins here in Chicago. My D is doing Missouri State right now at the Hyatt. I’m fairly certain Viterbo, Western Michigan, Ohio U, Ball State and some others will do walkins here as well. Lots of great choices that I wouldn’t even consider “safety” schools.

@HTS2019 Did the schools you are auditioning for not tell you their location? Or are you wanting walk-ins?
Just curious on walkins. We have 2 schools that are scheduled that are not at Palmer so I was curious about whether there were other locations
@HTS2019 there are schools at the Hyatt Centric and at the Hyatt Regency not sure if there are others. I know today Boston University, Suny Purchase and Minnesota, UNSCA and Missouri State were all at the Hyatt Regency. PACE will be at Hyatt Centric
