For all of you who are reading and are at home panicking, I just want to throw out there that these are the early calls. This process is very long and it isn’t over anywhere until you have a definate NO in hand. These early waves of acceptances make your heart sink when your kid isn’t getting the calls and you are reading all of this. Hang in there!
S just got the E-mail from the department head at Xavier. He’s been accepted there. Mom and Dad can now relax a bit more!

@Onourown Thank you for posting this message. This process is going to make us all crazy! Our D has many academic acceptances, lot of merit money too but only one artistic that is a redirect to BA and not BFA. She is waiting on 5 and is going CRAZY and making us CRAZIER!!! Why does this have to be so difficult!!!
@luvbloominroses that does make it all the more heartbreaking, but I can not imagine any teacher or person who truly knows this process telling someone they “expect” them to get in somewhere. D has had friends get into CCM, Boco, Texas and Rider and be rejected by Shenandoah, Otterbein, and Missouri. This is such a crap shoot. I’m sorry it hurts. (it does)
My D just got notification from Otterbein that she is waitlisted for BFA Acting.
Anyone hear anything from Temple?
@lithpool My D did a walk in at Chicago Unifieds and got a no email 2 weeks later.
My d just got official no for Otterbein acting. She was previously “still in the pool”

@lithpool my S’s GF was accepted already to Temple - not sure if it was for MT or Dance as she’s auditioning for both types of programs.
@lithpool my S got his acceptance for MT from Temple on 2/12.
@MTmama42 @#booknerdmom Thank you. S did walk-in in NY & did dance callback in ChiUni, but hasn’t heard academically or artistically…I’ll suggest he reach out to them directly. If anyone else knows anything please post. Thx!
