The Goals Fund Scholarship: How Would You Spend $1,000 Toward Your Education & Future Goals?

To be honest, I don’t think I would deserve the $1,000 since there are many people who would need it more than me or deserve it more than me and there are many people aiming for it but if I did get the money, I’d use half of it for my college funding and the other half for programs so that I could develop myself as an information technology specialist. I want to use Python, Java script, and other ways to fill myself in on coding. Thank you for reading!

I would spend the $1000 on paying for my books while in college. It would give me the opportunity to save money. Along with not being stressed if I will able to learn the material without proper access to these resources. I can focus entirely on learning and being engaged in the classroom.

My mother used to work as a teacher assistant for special education at an elementary school. Many would think that these children are being taken care of by their families, friends, or caregivers, right? Unfortunately, based on my mom’s stories, these kids turn out to be the most vulnerable to abuse. As a matter of fact, any child, with a disability or not, is prey in a world full of carnivores incognito. I plan to be a dermatologist so I can help loved ones of these children detect early skin conditions that can indicate physical or sexual abuse. But first, I need to take four years of further education to get into medical school. With this one-thousand dollar scholarship, you’ll be giving me the chance to get closer to my goals by assisting me financially for my university, whether that be books, tuition, and other fees. With this scholarship, it’ll help me relieve some financial burden so that I can focus on problems that can’t go ignored.

I would use this scholarship towards my college tuition so I can avoid taking out a student loan. This would greatly help kickstart my career and set me up for success!

I would use the money to help cover the costs of nursing school. This would lower my student loan amount reducing financial stress.

I would use the $1,000 to fund my academic goals. I plan to study to become a dermatologist. This pathway can take 12 years. I come from a single parent, low-income household; I do not have the funds to support myself through school. Therefore, this scholarship is crucial to my success as an academic achiever. Thank you for your consideration.

As an incoming college freshman pursuing a future in the STEM field, I plan to use the $1,000 Goals Fund Scholarship to support both my education and long-term goals. Growing up in a home burdened by financial hardship and domestic challenges, the transition from eighth grade to high school was far from easy. Yet, I stayed focused, driven by a quiet determination and a dream to build a better life for my family—especially for my mother and younger siblings.
Graduating at the top of my class was not just a personal achievement, but a step forward in breaking the cycle I was raised in. I want to be a voice for others who have experienced similar struggles, and I believe education is the path to making that impact. This scholarship would ease the financial burden of college, allowing me to focus on my studies and move closer to the future I envision—one where I can uplift others, support my family, and contribute meaningfully to the world.

If I won the $1,000 I would be able to go to a university that is far from me, which is what I’ve been working hard towards so I can get my bachelor’s degree in education. My dream ever since I was young was to be a teacher, so I would want to further my education and go to a university to accomplish that dream of mine.

I’m entering my senior year of high school early to pursue Graphic Design, Digital Arts, and Digital Marketing, with plans to earn a bachelor’s and eventually a PhD in AI. I’m already an Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design, and this scholarship would help cover essential school expenses like entry fees and classes. As one of seven kids, I’m determines to use my creative and technical skills to make a difference–and this support would help me keep moving forward.

I would use the $1,000 toward paying for school! This would allow me to focus on my education and studying to eventually get into med school and become a neurologist  My end goals are to contribute to the current field of knowledge through research initiatives and also work in the clinical setting with those struggling with dementia and Parkinson’s disease by alleviating symptoms. Hopefully one day I will even be able to significantly decrease, and even halt, these degenerative brain diseases! So thank you so much for this opportunity!!

I am going to be a senior in high school. My plan for the future is to hopefully attend either Florida State University, University of Florida, or Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I would like to major in communications or broadcast journalism, minor in chemistry, and then go to law school to become an attorney. However, all of that cost money. I have worked hard and have taken many rigorous courses to receive the bright futures scholarship which gives me tuition to any public Florida university. With $1,000 I would put the money towards books, supplies, room and board, food, and transportation because I live in south Florida. The $1,000 would help me work towards saving as much money as possible so I don’t have to worry about financial stress in the future.

I would use the $1000 to help cover the cost of test prep, college application fees, and future student loans so I can stay focused on my goal of becoming an orthodontist. I dream of creating a warm, welcoming space where people of all ages feel confident and cared for throughout their smile journey.

I am takeing steps towards my goal of becoming a Social Worker for the U.S Army, and helping our service men and women deal with the hardships of deployment and military living . However to earn this job and put myself in a place where I can be helpfull, I need education and training, which I plan on accumulating in a university ROTC program. If given the chance I will use this money to help offset the cost of on campus room and board.

If I were to win the $1,000 dollars I would definitely save it for the start of my college year. I’m planning on going to community college, I started taking college classes this year and by the end of my high school senior year (2026) I’m going to have 21 credits already and I would become a full time student to graduate in one year. I would use the money for school expenses only since i come from a low income family. I’m trying to save as much money as possible. I want to pursue for a higher education, so I would use the $1,000 for my education.

I’m a lower-class, first-generation immigrant and currently a junior in high school. Going to college has always been my biggest dream because it means a chance to build a better future for myself and my family. Growing up with limited money has made it hard to imagine how I’ll afford everything, and on top of that, I have learning disabilities like ADHD that make school even more challenging. But I’m determined to keep pushing forward. If I received $1,000, it would help so much by covering things like application fees, textbooks, or tutoring. Anything that can help me succeed and get closer to college. This money wouldn’t just help pay for school, it would give me hope and a real opportunity to change my life.

I would sue this scholarship to cover the cost of room/board/tuition costs at Capital university. I’m planning on attending there to major in music performance, and minor in business. As a teen whose struggles with mental health and a difficult home life make saving and earning much money difficult, earning a scholarship would mean so much, especially since I haven’t earned much yet.

I want to pursue a career in I/O Psychology and I hopefully want to go into college with no student loan debt; this $1,000 would be invaluable to me reaching that goal. Even if i don’t get these $1,000, I would like to thank you for providing this opportunity so that we all can achieve a higher education

Being that I have over 12 year of schooling ahead of me, the question of where the money to pay for that schooling is always on my mind. If I recieved the money it would be a great help towards the total so that I could become an anesthesiologist.

This scholarship would be a vote of confidence in my abilities as well as a financial relief. Knowing that people believe in my vision and commitment would inspire me to keep working hard. I’m prepared to put in a lot of effort, stay committed, and one day help others get through their darkest times with psychology—just as this scholarship would help me get through mine. It would pay for the first step into my future and the first step onto a college campus.

This scholarship would be the first block in my attempt to build the funds of my education. I aspire to attend the University of Texas and major in International Relations, and later attend law school.
