The Goals Fund Scholarship: How Would You Spend $1,000 Toward Your Education & Future Goals?

I would use this scholarship to financially help me in my studies and help me pursue a higher level of education.

I would use the $1,000 towards my tuition, cutting off a sizeable chunk and making it less burdensome for me and my family. It would contribute towards my future dream of becoming an occupational therapist by helping me get a good start in financing my undergraduate degree.

Hi! My name is Chloe, I am an incoming senior attending a small school, and my plan for the future is to go to the University of Wisconsin Madison and major in business and also economics. I am paying for my own college, and it is really hard to find scholarships and grants since I am middle class and also a second gen student. If I am given this scholarship, I would use it to pay for my housing fees and tuition. For one year, it is about $30k, and I would use it to help me pay for things while also picking up a local job to support myself. I know that I will probably have to have student loans, which would likely take a long time for me to pay back and could potentially make it harder and longer for me to reach my future goals of being financially stable and investing in properties and assets. This means that any amount of money counts, so I promise that I will use this to the fullest! Thank you.

If I received $1,000 toward my education and future goals, I would invest in college textbooks, career development workshops, and a certification course in business or coding to strengthen my skills. I’d also allocate part of the funds toward launching a community-based tennis clinic or expanding my sports recycling project, Re-Play, to create more inclusive athletic opportunities for underserved youth.

Hello there, my name is Pavelle!

Here is what I would use 1000 $ for…

$1000! What! I have never held so much money, not even half of it… In my home country, $1000 translates to 650,000 FCFA. If I could hold it in my palm, then I would have a long list of things to do: buy myself a fancy mug or take a trip to Tokyo. But hold on, we are in America here; I need to think productively because I ain’t here to wrong my parent’s efforts and sacrifices. As I hold on to that lavishness my primary focus is building my future, a lasting legacy!

Sometimes, I reflect on why I really want to pursue Medicine. Is it just the title, the career, or the justified internal peace that comes with serving a community by interpreting medical conditions? Volunteering at the Kaiser clinic displays my commitment to using every opportunity to invest time and effort to not only integrate into my diverse community but enhance its social inclusivity. It teaches me the quality of patience and compassion while driving my desire to work as a scribe and hospice volunteer in college.

With this scholarship, I intend to invest in a non-profit organization that will address language challenges faced by minorities. This organization will promote networking amongst diverse cultural groups, hold cultural festivals fostering understanding between multi-ethnic groups, and fundraise money so the program has a lasting impact. Although I might have never created one, I plan to use my counselors, experienced friends and the different tools available to make this program possible.

Thanks for reading!

I would use the money to get a new laptop and probably some school supplies. I’ve been sticking to an old laptop that’s about 7 years old. It’s not the best and seems to be on its last legs. Many schools suggest a computer to do work on and it’d be inconvenient to still use my old, slow laptop.

I would use the 1000 dollar scholarship award to pursue my college career with one less thousand dollars to worry about paying for. This would allow me to focus on becoming the biomedical engineer I dream of becoming.

If I was given $1000, I would invest it in my future and education in a few different ways. First off, I would set a portion aside for my AP class registration. Investing in this allows me to reduce my college time, which in turn saves me thousands of dollars in the future. I would then set another portion aside to invest in a passion project. Investing in this not only helps me, It helps the community my project is focused on. Lastly, the money remaining would be spent on college tuition to make my dream of becoming a doctor a reality.

Not only would this scholarship benefit me and help me with tuition, books, etc. Throughout my whole life, and living in a household with 5+ siblings, my parents have and still are, working their butts off everyday to provide for us and are doing the best they can, so if I do win this scholarship, not only will it take some stress of their shoulders, but make me proud to show them that their hard work is paying off.

I would use the scholarship money to help fund my higher education. I plan on going to a university for a degree in computer sciences which is a man dominated field. This money put towards my college fees would take a huge weight of my shoulders.

I would use the scholarship money to pay part of my dental hygiene school tuition. It would greatly help me out as school gets very expensive, and I have other siblings who will still need to be taken care of so my parents cannot give a lot of support.

This money would be beneficial for paying for my books. I’ve had a passion of chemistry for as long as I can remember. But paying for a chemial engineering degree would put too much financial pressure on me and my family. This money could be life changing help me achieve my dreams and do what I love.

If awarded the $1,000 scholarship, I would use it to cover essential college expenses such as textbooks, course materials, and tuition. Reducing this financial burden would allow me to focus more on my studies and less on finding part-time work to make ends meet.

Hope I’m considered!

I intend to use the $1,000 scholarship towards my dream of going to a University in the U.K. that focuses on tech theater and similar subjects. I am a rising senior at West Plains High School, and have been learning and planning to be scenic artist and prop maker for the last 3 years, including shadowing directors. taking tech theater as an elective, and creating my own props and paintings. This scholarship would make a positive impact towards my college career, and help make a positive impact towards my future. Please consider me for the scholarship, and thank you for your time and consideration.

Best Regards,
Scarlet Huffman

I want this scholarship to help me cover a portion of my tuition, allowing me to reduce the number of hours I need to dedicate to my part-time job, which would free up valuable time and energy that I can put into my education. My ultimate goal is to become a registered nurse and this would bring me one step closer to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

I would use this mory to help further my goal of being an elementary teacher by using it for either supplies like books, computer supplies, paper and pencils or towards my tuition.

I would use the $1,000 scholarship to take off at least a little bit of the financial burden on my family as they send me off for college. This money would help my family a lot as right now my mother is the only one working in my household. I aim to become a Nurse Practitioner in the future. This means years of schooling. This money would help me achieve my goal to give quality holistic care to those I treat.

I would use $1,000 to help pay off some college finances. This would relieve financial stress and allow me to focus more on my studies. I care deeply about my education and want to make the most of every opportunity I have. Reducing financial pressure would help me stay motivated and less distracted. This investment would bring me one step closer to achieving my future goals of having a career in the space field and studying astrobiology or astronomy.

If I win the scholarship I will be closer to my goal of a debt free college degree before I begin attending medical school. I want to persuade a career as a radiologist and to get there I need to be able to pay for an undergraduate degree but also medical school and all of the expenses that go with it like the MCAT and the 3 steps in medical school. With this scholarship I will be one step closer to my future.

I would use the $1,000 toward my undergraduate tuition to study English and Secondary Education. As the daughter of a single mom, I want to be able to help take a little bit of the financial stress off of her. The $1,000 will help cover my tuition and/or my room and board. Additionally, I seek to go to graduate school to further my education and this scholarship can be useful for that as well.
