The 17 month old is a strawberry. Probably the last year mom can pick the costume.
My dog and I are pumpkins
Hanukkah is early this year and I’ve now got 4 grandchildren. Only one who will be old enough to understand presents.
Tonie or Yoto?
GS (19 months) is a cowboy. GD (3.5) is a mermaid. One of GD’s classmates from daycare invited the class (with parents) over for pizza and to ToT. I admire that mom’s bravery.
Oldest 9 is an evil circus ringmaster. I think it’s a character from a show, but I don’t know.
Not quite 7 and not quite 5 are different Pokemon characters. They are obsessed with Pokemon.
The instagram reel of their elementary school’s parade is already up. Found them!
Some of the teachers really go all out. Their costumes are more amazing than the kids’!
Deleted, may have change of costumes.
GS (6) is a spider. GD (2) is a purple cat.
GD (15 months) is Ms. Rachel (IYKYK). She won’t actually be trick or treating though.
Daughter’s daughter (4) is Owlette from PJ Masks. My son and his family (5 & 8 months) are all going as the Incredibles.
GD will be 3 at end of December. This is the first year she’s paid attention to Halloween. D bought her costumes the last two years, but she wouldn’t wear them & had no interest in going out for trick or treating. This year, she’s all about Halloween. She loves the decorations & costumes. This is her first Halloween in daycare, and the kids have been very excited about Halloween & what they will be on Halloween. GD is a cat. She pretends to be a cat a lot, so she’s very comfortable with her choice!
18 month old GS is a train conductor today. Last week he went to an event with the other grandma and was the cutest little robber. GDs (4,2) will be presented with various options we will see what they end up with.
Granddaughter was the cutest pink dinosaur!
We have a 10yo killer clown, 7yo zombie cheerleader, 4yo Vamparina, 2yo witch and a 2yo Spider-Man.
It’s very cool and there has been a little mist in the air, so we did not have our usual turnout of 50-60 trick-or-treaters. We just turned off the light and still have half our candy.
We had snow. GD didn’t care … she had a blast!
We had a change of plans…and costumes.
Due to miscommunication between SIL and D, they didn’t go to the village up the hill for Halloween activities. Instead we had dinner at 5, then the family drove to nearby neighborhood where there are lots of decorations and lots of ToTers.
Grandma still stayed home to hand out goodies (only 6 people in the past hour and they’ve been all big kid kids–middle and high school age)
Twin A still went as a Hammerhead shark. Twin B insisted on wearing last year’s costume-- a flamingo (even though it is way too small). GS is wearing Twin A’s black cat costume from last year. He’s even wearing the hood/head.
GS knew something was happening. He was so excited and kept toddling as fast he could around the house. When mom got the stroller to load into the car–he started yelling with excitement and pounding on the front door to be let out to get into the car.
I’m handing out vegan goodies-- Lesser Evil popcorn bags and Unreal dark chocolate peanut butter cups. (The dairy-free PB cups are sweetened with agave syrup, not sugar.)
Still waiting for costume reports.
In other GK news… The little kid took her baby to the pediatrician in her husband’s country they are visiting. Gotta have those shots! Little Miss is still a string bean. Stays steadily on her personal growth curve. But she is doing fine… at the ripe age of 5 and a half months she figured out how to get herself into a sitting position and is now doing “combat style” crawl to get to her toys.
GS was an adorable Pikachu and GD was a cute little pumpkin. They went out to trick or treat with D and SIL. H and I handed out candy at their house.
I helped out at the elementary school today. The costumes were amazing - astronauts, witches, skeletons, mermaids, Harry Potter, Disney characters, Pokémon characters, black cats, Wonder Woman, and even Eliza Hamilton.
Granddaughters, sisters 3 years apart both with Nov. birthdays. Needless to say, second child is Hand-Me-Down Rose.
What can I get this sweet cherub for her birthday that is special?
Anything with her name on it!
Age?
My neighbor suggested I buy a stool, where the child’s name is in primary or pastel colors, and fit like a puzzle
She will be 2. Great idea!
