It’s already been filmed and in the box, I’m sure. He’s too integral to the show to edit out all his appearances or I’m sure they would have done so. That’s what Top Chef chose to do with the John Besh bits but he was only a guest in one episode not a judge in all the episodes.
Sad for the contestants - especially whoever won - not to get their moment of fame.
