The Hatfields and McCoys

MOWC, I’m sorry about the kitty, happy for your daughter, and hope your dad recovers quickly. And I hope the rest of this weekend is wonderful for you and yours and I, as do so many others, look forward to the updates!

Sending positive wishes. I know the day will turn out very special. Can’t wait to read about it.

mowc – hope it was wonderful!.. and that things cooled down a little. My Ds spent 2 hours under the baking sun in 97 degree heat at graduation today… they said no one’s grandparent was carried out on a stretcher, but I’m surprised. It’s miserable here.

More later- It was perfect, perfect, perfect. The most beautiful bride in the world. Groom teared up as she walked down the aisle. Reception was so much fun! The wedding planner is my hero. I still have company here and I’m exhausted. My daughter called from their layover (en route to Dominican Republic) to say it was the best day in her life and exactly the way she envisioned the whole wedding! (WildChild, his gf and his cousins were “after partying” until 3:30am)…

Fabulous! Congratulations! I am so happy for all of you.

Hooray! It sounds like the most special day and I am glad that your daughter will always remember it as the best day of her life (though I imagine lots of other best days are still to come). You did it!

Congratulations, MOWC! Best wishes to your daughter and son-in-law for a happy future together.

So glad it was as perfect a could be! Congrats!!

WOW, MOWC-to have your D call and say something so magical! How fantastic!

I would like to add my Best Wishes to the bride and groom.

Oh, wonderful wonderful! DH and I know the bride IRL, me from H/SM in D and then both of us knew her in college. So glad to hear that their day was as amazing as they’d planned, and many blessings upon them both. =)

Congrats, MOWC, to you and your family, especially to your daughter. I am glad all went well. Am very sorry about the cat. We just lost our 18 year old cat, a blessing of sorts, since she was becoming incontinent, but saddened all of us nonetheless.

Congratulations to you and the newlyweds! Can’t wait to hear the details, but please try to relax a bit before rushing to the computer to tell us about your beautiful D’s beautiful wedding!

I’m so glad things turned out so beautifully, MOWC! I hope that you wil now have some time to rest.

So glad there was a happy ending!

Not sure how to say this in Tex-Episcopalian, but: Mazal Tov! (literally: good luck; figuratively: yeee-hah!!)

Congratulations, MOWC. I’m so glad the bride’s day turned out so beautifully - and so sweet of her to let you know.

EHHH- not so fast. MotherofGroom finally left our house mid-afternoon to do a little sight-seeing before her evening flight. We were all cheering the silence (I still had some friends and relatives at the house). She just called- her flight was canceled. It’s like a bad dream. I have no beds available in my house, but she might come pick up the keys to the kids’ house. I am so exhausted that driving to the airport to get her (H feels the same) is not an option. She is with some other friends/relatives of hers who are stuck, too, so my hope is that they figure something out together. It’s been fun, lovely- and now I need her on a plane OUT of here!

Aaaarrrghh! There must be some lovely airport hotels, MOWC. Shouldn’t the canceling airline pick up the tab, and put her up locally so that she can be right at the airport when her early morning flight out is ready? ;)

I like the way you think! I once ran and screamed through an airport to hold a plane to get my sibling and her DH on a flight home. I just couldn’t take one more minute…
