@texaspg had a good post about SAT vs ACT…scroll up couple pages.
ACT is more math/science oriented…more tuned to what you study in high school. SAT is more reasoning/aptitude based. The best thing to do is to go online and take a practice test in both. Also while I see lot of questions here and Tizil7 has been nice to reply, please use the other test prep sites as well in college board (sometimes just a google of SAT vs ACT will bring back lot of good posts).

hey all.
what all does the high school secondary report contain?
like it contains schools:
average marks
average grades
no of students getting a A
… what else?

I’m part of the first 12th grade batch of my school (DPS BANGALORE). I wanted to know what all information do I need to tell my school to do so I can have the necessary documents ready when I start applying (things like transcript, etc).

please give a detailed reply, I need it. I need to notify them in the next week or so.

Really long time, since I took a brief hiatus from CC! Anyways, 17’ers all the best for your prep and also for your 12th std.

Along with Tizil, who I guess has his eyes set on becoming a mod(!), I will be lurking here and there on CC. Since I have undergone almost all the panics, sitting in front of a computer typing really long essays, looking at acceptances, rejections, taking in failing at school, ask me anything. I am here to help :)

CC’s a great resource for all the college related queries you guys have. Its also a great place to meet and become friends with some really really awesome people :D

Once again, all the best, for your future beckons ahead :)

Hey phr34k! Glad to see helpful people like you and Tizil7 The friend part, I wish everyone on CC knew that, I messaged someone from my area today thinking it would be a good discussion but the person was proper reserved the remark. Yes, I will be asking a lot of questions.
Thank you!

Thanks a lot for wanting to lurk around and help us, phreak! Tizil, of course, has been a very valuable resource. Which college will you be going to? :)

No, I won’t agree, the A Levels are hard and each subject has several components, Sciences have 5 exams each! So yes, they might be on the same level but not really less than the other.
