Ok,so I’ve been stalking this page for about a month now,and finally decided to jump in and post.
OK,so im in a dilemma regarding whether to get a separate counselor to proof read essays and help with finAid forms or not.My school has a counselor for this, but she’s largely absent and I’ve seen her all of once in the last one and a half years.
My question:is getting a good counselor extremely important, especially to help fill out financial forms and stuff?

How’s everyone doing guys?

Bringing up this thread :/

Anyone ? :D

anyone?
any info is welcome because until now,I’ve had mixed reactions about this from various people, and it’s left me so confused!

Sorry lefty, you came just at the wrong time. Everyone is getting along on facebook and we have left this thread long ago. I am trying to bring up this thread( just to get to a 1000 posts).
Now, I am sure you will be fine without a counselor as most of the people from India don’t have one. If you need any help with the forms, post here and you should a get a reply soon !

yeah,Ive noticed the posting’s been sluggish.
thanks though!
im hearing more and more that a counselor isn’t really necessary,im almost convinced not to get one now.

Hello everyone, its been quite a long way since I last visited here. Wow, this legacy continues, amazing!
I was highly active in #15 and #16. And, its really nice to see things in motion!
Oh, and how come few recent threads end up being locked? Too much Flaming and other stuff?
Anyway, am not much of a help now, lost my ways as they were, but still, I will help as I can. :)

@leftycusp : All you need is two (I think) teachers’ recommendations who taught you/ knows you and are senior in staff (In teacher group). But, you need to tell them what they are supposed to do, this is how I did, and most student do, here. Hope it helps!

Welcome back issacnewton  College passout, are you ?

Yeah, I am.
Thanks for the welcome. :)

@issacnewton:i decided against getting a counselor,im convinced that it isn’t necessary now.

us 17ers have pretty much established FB as our headquarters. thus, you might have noticed the sudden drop in the no of posts! :P

How many posts are you away from 1000 - Mrinal?

Hows many posts away from 1000?

A little dude, a little
And my college list does not have only 2 colleges, I will forward you my college list in some time ;)

hey!guys…i hav a question.can i apply for an early decision or any other deadline for that matter and send my sat scores later in like 3 weeks after submitting?m, a lil confused abt dis applying procedure.i need sum help!

That depends on the college you apply to. The best thing would be that you drop an email to the college admissions and ask.
You don’t want to take up someone’s advice and be caught in trouble later.
