mrinal-yeah,i do.
and i dunno how to invite the peers the submit their evals on the common app

*to submit their evals

which school needs them? It is not part of the main app (at least not last year) and if a particular school needs them, they probably have a set of instructions?

it’s a necessary part of the app at Dartmouth and Yale.

lefty :p, just ask the question on the D or Y forum on CC !

you need to review directions of the supplement in that case.

I looked at Dartmouth one and it says the following at the bottom.

Your statement will become a part of our confidential admissions files for use only by appropriate officials of the College.
At no time will the candidate have access to it nor will it become part of any permanent records if the candidate enrolls at Dartmouth.
Please send the completed form to: Dean of Admissions, 6016 McNutt Hall, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH 03755-3541.
PEER EVALUATION 2

Hey guys. Umm, does anyone have sample Stanford Supplemental essays ? A link would be great !

Is there any list of CC-Indian threads essay readers?

Oh, and even Stanford’s need blinds. It’s like, they give aid to as many possible, and when they are done the funds available, they become need aware.
Correct me if it’s not true.

Internships? How much of a difference do they make on the applications?

I just read this, Very informative thread.

That’s an amazing link that you shared. Read it’s first posts.
I’ll go through it!
Thanks :)

Stanford is supposed to be a catch 22. Internationals have a better chance of getting in if they dont ask for money but if you dont state you will be applying for aid on the app, I understand you can’t go back and request since they are need aware.

UMass-Amherst v.s WUSTL?
taking Financial Aid for internations into consideration.
where may i have a better luck getting a good (and more) amount of FA?

Rew, Stanford is need-aware even if funds are available. They always have funds, tbh (they’re pretty rich). So regardless of the availability of the funds, Stanford will always take into consideration your need for financial aid.

In the common app question for
"Do you intend to apply for need-based financial aid? "
What should the response be?

I know for Stanford, saying Yes would mean you may not get in at all. What about others like HPY, Cornell, UMass Amherst etc?
Regards

If you can pay 200k for 4 years, No. If you can’t, yes. HPY, Cornell, Dartmouth are need blinds, so you can apply for finaid without hampering your chances of getting in.

Hey all. What is the “letters earned” in the activity section of commonapp?

Also, in the activities section, what does PG checkbox mean after the 9, 10, 11, 12 garde checkbox?
