Welcome to my Bird Photography Portfolio - check it out! Leave a comment on this thread. Oh, and Do let me know if there are any technical difficulties.

@EminemFan et. al. - I wouldn’t underestimate your chances at MIT’s admissions, even though you think you screwed up the SAT Verbal! They look at the bigger picture. But your comment about going through their process is very true - it is indeed a learning experience for most students, and you do learn a lot by just going through the application process. Compare that with the lower-tier schools, and you know what separates the wheat from the chaff and what these institutions are looking for.

With the scores you suggested, would recommend you apply to at least one or two other Ivy’s (Cornell, etc.) while you’re at it. If your other grades, scores, extra-curricular activities, etc. are good, then you probably have a very fair shot at getting in. They know that foreign applicants are generally weaker on the verbal, and take that into consideration when reviewing your complete application package. Make sure you have a good story on your essays - that’s very important.

It’s good to see students setting their aims rather high. But just in case, you should have a good number of safety’s picked out - depending on what you want to study, the top-20 schools all generally have good programs in various fields.

Good luck with the application process!

logging into CC after so long OMG.
@lolface,we really cant tell how strong or bleak your chances are based on chance threads, since there is so so much in your app that you cant represent on a chance thread.
That’s just my opinion, and im a fellow 17er’ but that’s basically what Ive gleaned from months of CC stalking. :P

I forgot to add, i scored a 96.8 in ICSE. The third highest in my school. And, my scores in the given subjects are always 20 points above my class average.

Anyway, whats your first choice? UCB i suppose?

Any of you guys did ED/EA and got in?

Cornell ED reject here. Learnt a lot from that rejection. Put all that knowledge to good use on my RDs. Lets see how that works out.

^ All the best man. You will do great. Those stats are fantastic, not the best of ECs, but otherwise great. Dont take that rejection too hard on yourself though.
