Plus, living in Mumbai, many of my friends’ parents have been associated with the ambanis (also, my dad knows him personally). Which is how I’ve heard horror stories. Not only mukesh and anil, but also of dhirubhai.</p>
<p>You’ve probably heard of the Bhopal gas thingy some 20 years ago. Did you know something similar happened at a Reliance chemical plant in Gujrat? Interesting huh? You wont find stuff on this on the net. You know why? Because the ambanis (dhirubhai was there at the time) payed the media and crushed the entire investigation.</p>
<p>yeah you are right SM…Principle’s are taking a back seat nowadays though…as people who adopt some turn out to be big losers unless they are already in control of their life.</p>

<p>but yeah then there are sum ppl who nevertheless dont care …they go to univs and brag all around over how intelligent they are for they got admision to these places…knowing fully well what role money played… but then u cant really help that …

<p>Well, whatever info I’ve gathered is from people who have associated themselves with reliance in tehe past and never plan to in the future. So it is open to a certain degree of bias. All I’m sayingis that if you have never associated yourself with reliance, you only know the reliance from the press, not the real reliance.</p>
<p>Btw, such thoughts are openly expressed at our school. not infront of nita ambani (chairperson) of course :D</p>

<p>Just as a side note-Upenn actually sent out letters to people at my school telling them they would be admitted if they didnt ask for aid …</p>
<p>hehe cool…actually school is perfectly ok…coz its kind of a ritual for every student to blame their school authorities…and it is one of my personal favourites…</p>

<p>thanks a lot akash for telling that information and reminding me…now that I remember this…Such letters were also recieved by Mercury Squad and Sucharita…so i think that shows what UPENN takes and what it does not.</p>

But I think ours was general…because my also said that if i dont apply for financial aid there are chances of getting in.</p>
<p>But the one that says that if u withdraw your aid application you will get in is I think sent by mail and is sent sometime after some time from now.</p>
